Aussie chef 'bullied' for posting this photo of her fridge - do you see the problem?

We here at the Seniors Discount Club are always on the lookout for new tips and tricks to help us keep our homes tidy and organised.

That's why we were interested to see a recent post by an Australian chef who proudly shared photographs of her newly-organised fridge. Everything is in its place and looking good as new – we bet anyone who visits her home is impressed!

The full-time chef had posted pictures of her newly organised fridge on the Cleaning & Organising Inspiration Australia Facebook group, showing off how neatly she had arranged its contents.

One shelf was filled with canned soft drinks, another with fruit juice poppers, while the top shelf housed water bottles, milk and three bottles of mayonnaise. There were also around 16 Smirnoff cans neatly stacked on one of the shelves.

However, it wasn't long before some social media users took aim at the homeowner, criticising her food choices and calling them 'unhealthy'. They questioned why she had so many sugary drinks and such a small amount of food in the fridge – especially so much mayonnaise!

'My teeth and pancreas hurt just looking at all those sugary soft drinks,' one user commented on the chef's post on a popular Facebook group.

'What an unhealthy fridge,' added another, with a third saying: 'Only thing I'm questioning is why has someone got that much mayonnaise? It's haunting!'

The chef responded to the negativity by stating that she lived alone and worked as a full-time chef, so she often ate out and didn't see the point in having a lot of food in her fridge that would end up being wasted.

She also pointed out that she kept a crisper packed full of fresh fruit and vegetables in case anyone was concerned that she wasn't eating enough healthy produce.

As for the criticisms about her soft drink consumption, she simply replied that teeth don't hurt if you brush them enough and that there was nothing wrong with having sugary drinks in moderation.

Many fellow homeowners came to the chef's defence, saying that others should not bully her for her own dietary choices.

'So many negative comments. Who actually cares what she chooses to have in her fridge?' said one user, adding: 'She's proud of her fridge; why are so many people quick to put others down?'

Another commented, 'I can see why there isn't as much food in the fridge. If I lived alone and didn't have kids, I don't think I'd have much food in my fridge either. Even more so if you eat at work and go out to eat a few times a week.'

Crikey! Really? What do people expect when they live their lives on this anti social, social media rubbish? It seems to me they crave acknowledgment and positive reinforcement through "likes", being "friended" and positive comments from strangers!
This platform is the only thing near social media I choose to use, as I have known of people to become suicidal from being "un-friended" or "dis-likes"!

What she keeps in her fridge is her business , but everyone knows you post something on line you are going to get negative feedback not just positive.
I do love organised fridges and top marks for her cleanliness and organisation skills.

Being a chef she should know not to keep potatoes or onions in the fridge. 🤔

Aside from being somewhat surprised to see spuds & onions in fridge, I am of the mind whatever anyone has in their fridge is THEIR business & not for anyone else to judge or comment on.
