You are so lucky it works. I tried this about 3 years ago when it was legal but difficult to find a prescribing GP. I did it at a vast cost, $900, ( $300 for a tiny bottle of CBD that did not quite last a month)by the time the doctor took his prescribing 'fees' and two months of the oil that had to be bought at a certain Pharmacy with the same procedure.
Prescribed to take the drops twice a day. It just made me sleepy, all the next day as well.
So he told me to just take it at night to sleep! He did say it does not work for everyone. I was one of those!
Then finding out that if you drive and get pulled over by the police for anything they will book you for having marijuana as it stays in the system. No effects of course being medicinal but still show up as 'pot'.
When I mentioned this to the prescribing doctor he said "Tell them you are on the medicinal oil" and added "or they can call me." This is not exactly promising if you are pulled up and charged anyhow!! Catch 22..

CBD oil did absolutely nothing for me except empty my bank account.

I'm pleased for the people that it does work for, and I agree that you get to the point where you will try anything and damn the expense.

Unfortunately it's not the cure all that everyone hopes for and any prospective users should be aware that it might not work for them.

No, I was informed it still shows up as a prohibited drug with breathalizers

I would be wary of any preparation containing cannabidiols (CBD) or tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). There are literally thousand of analogues of these substances in existence, both natural and synthetic.

CBD oil equates to snake oil in my view.

In case you are concerned at my post, I have been studying pharmacology and toxicology for over 20 years on an informal basis, an offspring from my formal qualifications in chemistry.

It is THC free so doesn't show in tests or affect your functionality

Sorry for late reply Jane... I am in Adelaide and get the script from my local GP at Westwood Medical Centre in Angle Park and then take the script to CanMed at 5/151 Brebner drive West Lakes to get it compounded and dispensed

I totally agree and had taken home made brownies for years prior to the CBD becoming available via prescription... I can't have THC because I work in security and am regularly tested... I have been able to work again since taking the oil and am still taking it with amazing health benefits throughout my whole body... miracle herb I prefer

Don’t forget to tell her if you are pulled up for a random breath test you can be fined and loose your license, even if it is prescribed by a doctor

Teddy is my boy ....there is no THC in the CBD oil that I take... THC is the component that gets you stoned and shows up when tested

Bulk billed for the script and $70 a fortnight for a 15ml bottle of 100% pure CBD oil with no THC... different compounding places charge different prices...

WTF Marni we are talking about the CBD oil that I have been prescribed by my doctor and the fact that I am now pain free, constipation free, anxiety free, back to work and able to do the jig compared to hardly existing 6 months ago because of osteoarthritis in both hips with subchondral costs....it's been life changing medication for me and it is prescribed and not from a social media ad
