ALDI shopper shares a clip of a security guard caught in a ‘concerning’ act
A concerned ALDI shopper took to Twitter to share a video of a security guard doing a ‘concerning’ act.
An ALDI shopper posted footage he secretly took of a security guard caught in a ‘concerning act’ on Twitter. Credit: Twitter.
The clip shows the security guard sitting on a chair who seemed to be preoccupied with his phone while one customer walks in and another scans the QR code of the store.
He captioned the clip with: “Want to work where you don’t need to do anything but be on your phone and get paid? Become a security guard for ALDI Australia.”
He added: “You don’t even need to verify if the shoppers have checked-in.”
The shopper also noted that the security worker was sitting several metres back from the entrance.
An ALDI representative responded to the post saying they are “concerned to see this” and are keen to learn more of the shopper’s experience.
Currently, ALDI is reviewing the shopper’s post.
