Air fryer apple pie bombs

Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs are biscuits filled with apple pie filling, cooked in an air fryer until golden brown, and covered in an apple pie spice and sugar coating.

Servings: 16 apple pie bombs

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • 3 teaspoons apple pie spice
  • 1 can (8-count) Pillsbury Grand biscuits, not flaky layers
  • 1 cup (243 g) apple pie filling, with apples cut into small pieces
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  • In a medium-size bowl, mix the sugar and apple pie spice. Set aside.
  • Remove the biscuits from the can and peel to separate each into two layers. Press each layer of biscuit into a 4-inch circle. (You will have 16 circles.)
  • In a small bowl, combine the apple pie filling with cinnamon. Mix to combine.
  • Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the apple pie filling and cinnamon mixture into the center of each circle.
  • Use your fingers to fold the sides together, pinching to seal. Roll into balls.
  • Spray the basket of an air fryer with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Working in batches, place the balls into an air fryer basket about 2 inches apart. Spray the tops with cooking spray.

  • Air fry at 350°F for 8-9 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Carefully remove the balls from the air fryer, dipping each in melted butter.
  • Roll each dipped apple pie bomb into the apple pie spice and sugar mixture. Repeat with the remaining batches.
  • Serve immediately or at room temperature.

Has she got any healthy recipes you can do in it my neighbour got one for Xmas and she has no clue neither have I she’s diabetic. Let me know please.🌝
Google is your friend when it comes to all recipes. Search for recipes for diabetics. Also K-mart has a reasonable selection of reasonably priced Air Fryer cook books. They may have one for Air Fryers. Also it is good to know that anything you cook in an oven can be done in the air fryer. Alot depends upon what type you have, ie is it a basket type or one with racks. It will cook faster and at a lower temp so a bit of trial and error is needed.

I'm wondering if frozen puff or shortcrust pastry would be a good substitute. I'm not an expert on pastry so I am not sure which one would be best. What would you use for an apple pie?
And Happy New Year to you as well.
Shortcrust

Yeah I’ve been looking these up for my neighbour she’s diabetic so I’m trying to get easy recipes she can do herself. I’m trying to get her motivated she’s on ozempic and so depressed and lost interest in everything.☹️
How long has she been on ozempic ? My doctor put me on it beginning of October. I can't eat anything. I have two Bites and I'm full. I've loss 25 kg . People are shocked at how skinny I am.
I'm using 1mg and I'm supposed to go up to 2mg end of the month but I won't.

I think your neighbours problem is actually not being able to eat not depression.
I had subway last night. I ordered 6 inch just salad , I ate two Bites and couldn't eat any more I was full.
Tell your neighbour she needs to take a multi vitamin and a good one.

My sugar reading is sitting on 4 but my blood pressure is really low. 96/65 which is horrible, room spins ect . Not sure if it's through Ozempic though

She’s been on vitamins since I’ve known her 😀
I think it’s because of her son having brain tumours removed and he’s on a tablet that has side affects that are personality changing and he’s saying hurtful stuff to her. It’s not helping as she’s so worried about him he never asks her to go and stay over with the girls or come and have dinner etc. I guess all I can do is just listen and support her as best as I can. And most of all give her a cuddle 🌝

Always she’s like the grandmother I never knew as they lived in England and never came out for a visit, and I was 6 months old when we sailed.🌝
