Air fryer apple pie bombs

Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs are biscuits filled with apple pie filling, cooked in an air fryer until golden brown, and covered in an apple pie spice and sugar coating.

Servings: 16 apple pie bombs

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • 3 teaspoons apple pie spice
  • 1 can (8-count) Pillsbury Grand biscuits, not flaky layers
  • 1 cup (243 g) apple pie filling, with apples cut into small pieces
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  • In a medium-size bowl, mix the sugar and apple pie spice. Set aside.
  • Remove the biscuits from the can and peel to separate each into two layers. Press each layer of biscuit into a 4-inch circle. (You will have 16 circles.)
  • In a small bowl, combine the apple pie filling with cinnamon. Mix to combine.
  • Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the apple pie filling and cinnamon mixture into the center of each circle.
  • Use your fingers to fold the sides together, pinching to seal. Roll into balls.
  • Spray the basket of an air fryer with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Working in batches, place the balls into an air fryer basket about 2 inches apart. Spray the tops with cooking spray.

  • Air fry at 350°F for 8-9 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Carefully remove the balls from the air fryer, dipping each in melted butter.
  • Roll each dipped apple pie bomb into the apple pie spice and sugar mixture. Repeat with the remaining batches.
  • Serve immediately or at room temperature.

That sounds a bit on the "nasty" side. Also, NO I haven't made it as yet because I don't have a recipe for the dough and who would it have hurt for maybe you to post a recipe for the dough.

At least I did say for everyone to have a happy, safe and prosperous New Year, not like some on this thread.
I'm wondering if frozen puff or shortcrust pastry would be a good substitute. I'm not an expert on pastry so I am not sure which one would be best. What would you use for an apple pie?
And Happy New Year to you as well.

Puff pastry
You're were two birds in the one nest that's fallen out of the tree as you're BOTH VERY NASTY and don't know how to hold a proper conversation when I initially asked an easy question.
I put those tables up 5 times, it is up to people to download, you put 3 of my recipes down because American.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way. In my opinion, it's not due to being American. I've posted American recipes before (recently my easy Brownies), except I converted ounces and substituted ingredients. Also, even if copying and pasting recipes, we can edit and type any subsitute ingredient etc. before posting it. You can also edit after posting. You can see our Moderator has edited your post up the top as well. Of course, this is entirely up to you if you choose to.

I’ve always wondered what does the moderator actually moderate I have no clue do you 😋

More than likely NOT as I'm on numerous recipe site being a "recipe addict" (because I love cooking) and most of them are reposted from other various sites. I NEVER repost recipes because it's like they're already on a merry-go-round and I see them all the time which becomes rather annoying with the amount of "cheats".
I think if you try a recipe and love it then share it.
Every recipe I post I have made and love and want to share it with people in here.

I definitely won't post anything that I haven't made and loved

I actually thought this was a friendly site where we can post and talk about recipes. It turns out not to be so. I am sorry to learn that. Nuff said.
It is a friendly site. I'm more than happy to answer questions on cooking.

I have a serious love of cooking , don't let one person turn you away

Your recipes are becoming ridiculous.

Explain to everyone exactly how you made these and what ingredients you actually used

Why don't you start posting recipes that you have actually made.

This post showed exactly how frustrated people are getting with your recipes

They want to make a recipe they are liking the look of and can't because it's an American recipe. Like this.

Don't tell them it's like a scone with buttermilk. It's more like a donut !!!

Don't tell them to do a google search ,it's up to you the poster to change a recipe you are posting so people CAN ACTUALLY MAKE IT.

@sdc you maybe need to check that a recipe is compatible to use in Australia before adding it.

Oh yeh Babybird stop being rude and abusive to people

Why publish recipes that have ingredients that are not available in Australia
U.S.A. Foods in Cochranes Road Moorabbin sells Pilsbury dough I just found this store. And apparantely it’s available in Sydney as well in case anyone’s interested.🌝

I just checked that out ... $10! If you want to pay that go right ahead. lol
Then you need to go there, they don't deliver and not saying they will actually have it. This recipe states not the flaky one. They actually only have the flakey one.

I thought I would give Babybird the benefit of the doubt but the one she states in this recipe can only be purchased in The USA .

I don't blame people getting frustrated with these recipes

The non flaky one is more of a donut not biscuit

My daughter who lives at home makes very similar to this. She is the airfryer queen. I posted the recipe she makes which is more like a donut not a biscuit. I think this one is also more like a donut 🍩
