Humans, regardless of our age, share a common motivation to present our best selves to the world. This may be in a nice dress, bikini or even just your favourite accessory. For men, perhaps you love wearing a suit or feel most confident in some trackies.
In this story, a grandmother from the United Kingdom claims that people are always fooled by her youthful appearance. She also shares her secret for looking and feeling decades younger through the years.
Originally from the United Kingdom, 91-year-old Joan Richmond-Woodhouse now makes her home on Spain's Costa Colida, where she regularly poses for photographs in her bikini.
You might be thinking, 'There must be a tried and true beauty and nutrition routine she is religiously following…'

Ms Richmond-Woodhouse surprised everyone when she admitted that, contrary to popular belief, she does not follow a strict diet to maintain her youthful appearance. In fact, she even enjoys chowing down on hearty meals such as meat pies and roast dinners.
'I don't do anything special to stay young,' Ms Richmond-Woodhouse confessed in an interview with a news media outlet.
'I love pies and English grub, so even in Spain, I've stuck to eating that. I don't follow any silly diets, I just eat what I want and what makes me happy. I've never put any weight on,' she went on to say.
Although Richmond-Woodhouse has already amassed an impressive family tree, including eight children and eighteen grandchildren, she claims to adhere to no special diet; however, she follows a rather low-maintenance beauty routine.
According to the youthful grandma, she has been using the same brand of Nivea moisturiser since she was sixteen-years-old.

She also attributes her youthful appearance to her optimistic outlook on life and the fact that she is currently enjoying the fruits of a happy relationship. Several years after the loss of her long-term husband, Trevor, she rediscovered love with David Winder, an 84-year-old retired cargo coordinator.
'I don't know how to behave like a 91-year-old. I just act the same as I did when I was 21,' she said. 'I love wearing a bikini and going to the beach with my granddaughter.'
According to her 27-year-old granddaughter Lydia, her grandmother is frequently asked to provide identification to verify that she is indeed as old as she claims to be.
She connected her grandmother's vigour and vitality to the family’s excellent genetics. 'Lots of members of our family get complimented on our youthful looks, and it's almost like we get to a certain age, then we age backwards,' said Lydia.
'I hope when I'm older, I'm like my grandma and inherit her genes and look as good as she does at her age. I really hope to have her luck.'

It couldn't be more clear than with Ms Richmond-Woodhouse that age is nothing but a number. It doesn't matter how many wrinkles show up on your skin or how grey your hair starts to appear - what matters most is that you live your life to the fullest every single day (and that you are happy, of course!).
We hope her story inspires you, folks! We certainly hope some of her confidence rubs off on us. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
