Simply, never to late to make improvements to diet and exercise patterns/habits. Like the "labels" say, results will vary. Genetics will play a part. I myself, have started a change, yes I've slipped back, but get back on track as soon as you can. Like most things in life, " stop whinging and get on with it". Everyone is different, do what is best for you.
 
Yes, I agree to a large extent. We are much too focused on a person’s age, and the media is not helping! How many times have we been subjected to a story such as, ‘a 52 year old man from Bankstown collided with a 23 year old from Revesby . . . ‘ Who really cares how old the two are??? I believe in the old saying, that ‘you’re only as old as you feel’. Largely it is how we feel in our bodies, not for anyone else to tell us that ‘we’re old’ or looking older! Maintain a positive mental attitude at all times, regulate your body’s intake, and live your best and happiest life! Surround yourself with positive people, not negative whingers.

In the work I was in I saw alot of naked women and women full of botox and ALOT who had boob jobs . Each to their own just don't try to fool people into believing it's all natural

With the History of my genetics, I should be long dead. But no, I am still here pushing 86 & completely happy to be mostly by myself. I don't need people to come & talk s**t to me as most of them are nowhere the same as me happy, with who I am. Others seem to always have something or someone to complain about. I love my life just reading & doing craftwork whatever takes my fancy at the time. Yes, I would like someone to go out with to the cinema but as I am so fussy about food not to eat out. In a post he shared on Instagram, the doctor shared his ‘core longevity principles’.

He captioned: ‘Increasing lifespan and healthspan are not just about treating disease but about building long-term resilience and vitality. Some say if you live longer, you will spend more time with chronic disease and disability, increasing the burden on society and our health care system. This isn’t true.’

He declared that simple daily habits hold the key to longevity potential.

First, he said to avoid ultra-processed foods. ‘Dysfunctional nutrient-sensing pathways are the most critical hallmark of ageing. Food is the key to either harm (with our modern diet) or optimise these pathways,’ he added.

Next is to get quality sleep. To improve your sleep, stick to a sleep schedule, avoid screens before bed, and create a dark and quiet atmosphere. If you want to curate your own bedtime routine, we have got you covered.

Exercising, specifically, strength training is the next piece of advice Dr Hyman gave. He said that preserving, building and optimising muscle function are ‘the keys to the fountain of youth’.

Next is to build a community or find your purpose. ‘The most powerful way to stay healthy and connect to your purpose is to be part of some type of community,’ he said. With the History of my genetics, I should be long dead. But no, I am still here pushing 86 & completely happy to be mostly by myself. I don't need people to come & talk s**t to me as most of them are nowhere the same as me happy, with who I am. Others seem to always have something or someone to complain about. I love my life just reading & doing craftwork whatever takes my fancy at the time. Yes, I would like someone to go out with to the cinema but as I am so fussy about food not to eat out. I have a saying over my bed that I will never take down. It says I want to live forever so far so good. I don't want to tempt fate by taking it down. Ha! ha!

Of course age can limit……all depends of so many factors, but above all your health!!!
So everything is relative!! How many of us men and women, need medication that messes up our bodies with all the side effects, either inside and outside? Those “influencers“ are part of a certain rare group of people that can count themselves fortunate to have good genes and go on for more a few years. Good on them.
I look after myself the best I can and my mind is young, but my body can’t do what I would like to 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m working on it 😁😁 little by little 👍🏼👍🏼
