To open new jars, there’s a little gadget called a jar key. You can find them in House! Once opened I use the above material. It’s a life saver to open jars and even bottles of water, etc. i have very weak wrists and live alone. I would most definitely starve without mine

To me that is not a new idea. People have been using that grip stuff for years. It is only a couple of dollars at the bargain shops. I used it on a sloping board to hold a cake in place while I decorated it. So it is a years old idea. Great stuff it is.

I have had these in my kitchen ‘odds & ends’ drawer for years but initially bought them in a 3 or 4 pack of squares. One tip - once you open a jar for the first time & have broken the initial ‘vacuum’ seal that comes with new bottles, don’t screw it back too tightly so the next time it is much easier to open. I use one pad on the screw top & one on the bottom to help with grip. My husband is always being told “don’t tighten the lids too much!!
