“What you see first, says about you”: TikTok user goes viral after sharing optical illusions he claims reveal your personality

Optical illusions have fascinated the world for centuries. Whether presented as a child's puzzle or a serious scientific study, they have left us scratching our heads and questioning our vision. And now, they are taking over the internet, with new mind-boggling videos appearing on the social media platform TikTok nearly every week.

Optical illusions can be amusing, but they can also be frustrating for those who can not figure them out. But did you know that these visual enigmas can also tell us a lot about how the brain works?

One content creator known as ItsMeFuzz on Tiktok has gone viral after sharing two optical illusions that he claims reveal insights into a viewer’s personality.

According to the New York Post, the brain-teasing video has been viewed 6.9 million times since it was posted in mid-January, with many commenters debating whether the images can reveal hidden personality traits depending on how they are viewed.

In the video, the content creator first shared an image of what appears to be a woman's face or a man playing the saxophone.

“If you ended up seeing the woman first, this means the right side of your brain is more developed than the left, so you’re more creative and artistic,” the TikToker claimed.

He went on to say that right-brained people are also better at expressing themselves than others.

However, if you saw the saxophone player first, he claims that your brain is more developed on the left side, making you more logical and analytical.

In a second image, the TikToker showed either a tree outlined in white or silhouettes of two people staring at each other.

He said, “If you ended up seeing the tree first, this means you have a very high attention to detail, and you’re also really good at reading people’s moods.”

Those who saw the silhouettes, on the other hand, are said to be "much better at staying calm and dealing with people, even if they are nervous."

Thousands of people shared their results in the comments section.

Most viewers said they first noticed the man playing the saxophone in the first image and then the tree in the second. They also claimed that the personality explanations provided by ItsMeFuzz matched how they perceived themselves.

Meanwhile, some people have claimed to have seen both at the same time. Others claimed they saw various other things, including the Eiffel Tower, a bear, and a man smoking a cigarette.

The TikTok user is known for sharing videos with fun facts, brainteasers, and quizzes. He also shared several other optical illusions, all of which have been viewed hundreds of thousands of times by people looking for insight into their personalities.

Interesting... right? Do you believe that what you see in these optical illusions match how you see yourself? Well, even if not, it's a fun way to learn about how our eyes and brain make sense of the world. Here are other optical illusions that will blow your mind:

This one is an oldie but goodie. Your brain thinks there's a black dot inside each white circle. But if you focus on each individual white circle, it was never there at all!

How many horses do you see? This equine-themed illusion has been confusing viewers since the 1970s. The artist, Bev Doolittle, revealed that she painted only five horses. But why are there 18 legs in the photo?

I love looking at the optical illusions.
However, what proof is there that the assumptions about the right-sided or left-sided brain dominance are accurate?
I know that scans these days light up areas of the brain when different areas are being used, but how do they know the significance?
Just curious.
