Self-serve should never have been invented. Get rid of them.

I often think of the cars that I once owned and sold for only a few hundred dollars that are now fetching ridiculous prices since becoming collectible: e.g. a couple of Valiants and a HQ Holden amongst others.

It isn't illegal, but it is unhygenic and dangerous, possibly causing injury and slipping over. I always wear shoes or sandals and can imagine the discomfort of not doing so. A debate on the lack of safety if driving without footwear has been ongoing, even thongs can slip off at the wrong time.

It used to be that financial information was sacrosanct and never to be exchanged between banks - on pain of dismissal. When did that change, and why?

Once again minority opinion rules over the majority. I will continue to refuse to use these abominable self-service checkouts. I just hope that Woolies declaration that they will continue to offer the choice of manned or unmanned is fair dinkum.

Call me old-fashioned, but there is n o way I would entertain digital receipts. I require paper to audit what I've spent and do not want my information included in electronic devices. Simply stop using dangerous chemicals on the paper!

Obviously a hoax. Anyone who receives anything like it should call the police immediately.

My biggest complaint is the price variation from week to week, e.g. Jordan's Granola, $4.25 one week, $8.50 the second, $12.00 the next, then repeat the cycle. Woolies and Coles have identical pricing and I fail to understand how they could possibly justify such a wide range of pricing.

They are looking at the theft problem all wrong, and complicating the entire shopping experience. As others have said, re-open service checkouts, employ people and get rid of self-serve, as a supermarket chain in the north of England has already done.

I'd have thought "She's right, mate" is the most common varient.

Not that problem but I have been ruled incompatible with CPAP machines, mainly because of excessive air leakage (probably anatomical) and an element of feeling suffocated.

It is unclear whether or when she paid the petrol bill. If not, she has only herself to blame.
