Cut your car registration fees by 20 per cent with state government’s cost-of-living relief measure

I live in S.A. It never ceases to amaze me how other State governments seem to be able to help their constituents out. $1000 for electricity assistance??? Lower car insurance??? Unheard of here in S A! We have the highest everything here in this State...apart from help to Pensioners.

Delivery drivers’ ‘horrendous’ behaviour caught on camera: ‘It’s wrong on all levels’

I experienced Temu packages being delivered incorrectly so complained to them. They simply marked that all my deliveries be delivered only by Aust Post. Problem solved. Easy. Temu instantly paid money back for a delivery when the driver couldn't find my address. In my bank within 5 minutes. The...

Documentary exposes ‘harmful metals’ in popular Temu products

There is a limit that you must buy to get free postage. Mine is $40. I know some friends have $45 and $50 so it may depend on how much you buy over time. You may not have reached that limit with your purchase...

Experts raise concern as surge in contagious virus cases threatens Aussie babies and seniors

I'm 75 years old and have had RSV twice. The first time was the sickest I have ever been in my life! I sat for 3 days (easier than lying down) using my CPAP machine non-stop just so I could breathe. If it hadn't been for that, I know I would have ended up in hospital. It took months for the...

Pensioners to get cash boost in upcoming July indexation

She has admitted she got it wrong...after telling us all off 🤣 We all wish she was right but no. We got nothing out of this pathetic wage-earner positive, pensioner-negative budget. They should all hang their heads in Shame! But they won't. If I could get this 75 year old body working again, I...

Pensioners to get cash boost in upcoming July indexation

What on earth was there in that article to make pensioners feel happy??? 10% increase in rent relief? Great! Payments indexed to the CPI so that has little to do with our ACTUAL cost of living increases. It is never enough. All those increases were for people working and already earning money...

Australian Energy Regulator announces power bill change in several Australia states

The worst budget for aged pensioners!!! Usually we get something in there to help out with the outrageous cost of living, but we are actually worse off with this budget at a time when we aged pensioners are all struggling. Thank you Labor. I thought you were supposed to help the poor but you...

Federal Budget 2024: What does it mean for you?

The worst budget ever for pensioners and those on Job Seeker. What happened to the $750 once off relief payment??? Never mentioned! Actually we on pensions were barely mentioned or looked after. The cost of our living expenses just keeps going up and no compensation from this lousy Labor Govt. I...

New budget proposal may put extra $2000 on Aussie households

Fuel cards and relief from the highest electricity and food prices here in SA. Our Government here are way too interested in the Gather Round and fun things than getting serious about helping the aged pensioners. Their priorities suck!

New budget proposal may put extra $2000 on Aussie households

What a post to put on for we struggling Pensioners. We should get excited about people with the ability to work and earn money getting even more?? I want to see what the Government is going to be doing for the poorest in the community. And sadly that's us, the pensioners and those on...

Aussie mum shares shocking price disparity between Coles and ALDI—'It's disgusting’

That is simply untrue! Quite the opposite in fact. I have dealt with all 3 companies and Aldi is the one that always wants to deal with Australian manufacturers and farmers! Not so Coles and Woolworths! We used to make their home brand cordial and at every run, they would have someone there to...

Have Your Say: Rising Cost of Living in Australia

I live from the aged pension cheque to pension cheque and I don't lead a bad life. However, I am very lucky to be in a unit owned by a charity so my rent is low. I don't know how I would be if I had to pay more rent. Destitute, I would say! Unfortunately though, I have no money behind me should...

ALDI, IGA chiefs under Senate spotlight as inquiry delves into grocery costs

I worked for many years with Coles, Woolworths and Aldi. Aldi were so much easier and honest to work with than the Big 2 who tried to screw every cent they could out of the Manufacturers and farmers. They showed little care about these businesses and never gave their customers a thought. They...

Report reveals Centrelink payments ‘too low’ to cover basic living costs

The Government gives us rises in our payments based on the CPI which is usually much less than 2%. Meanwhile the cost of what we actually buy viz. Petrol, food, gas, electricity, rent et al all go up by 20+%! That means we are always behind! Stop using this incredibly unfair way of increasing...

ALDI vs. Coles: Customer shares shocking price difference between two major supermarkets

Aldi always use Australian Manufacturers! In fact, more times than Coles and Woolworths. The only time you see other manufacturers used in Aldi is in their centre aisles on goods other than food. Thank goodness for Aldi, I say. I save money shopping there every week.

An RSV vaccine has been approved for people over 60. But what about young children?

I've had RSV twice now and it's horrible. I spent days just sitting with my CPAP machine so I could breathe properly. Once gone, the cough persists for months. I'll be lining up to get the vaccination. Covid was a breeze in comparison to RSV.

Terrifying truth revealed! Aussie woman sheds light on the dark side of Uber Eats delivery

So, you're blaming the victim??? Anyone should be able to get their food delivery safely. I blame the idiot delivery drivers who had orders to deliver to the hotel lobby.

Are you overspending on this simple family favourite? The hidden cost might shock you!

I have eaten the crab lasagne at Il Centro in Brisbane several times. One of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. I would definitely pay $75 for this dish......once, just to taste it. It's a luxury dish with a luxury price, but sometimes you just have to spoil yourself.
