    I certainly don’t replace my sheets for new ones after 2 to 3 years. I alternate them when l wash them, l have both cotton and bamboo sheets and i have had them for years. One set of bamboo are 10 years old, though they were expensive when l bought them. I only dry them on the line

    I worked in supermarkets for years and it was disgusting to find perishable goods dumped on the shelf. Such a waste as they have to be written off. Even found a used disposable nappy once. Often empty wrappers of confectionary that had been eaten and empty drink containers such as iced coffee.

    I had a card that for some reason wouldn’t tap so sorry for taking up 10 extra seconds of your time whilst l key in my number. I always smile at the check out operator but don’t always get a smile back.

    What on earth did we do before tissues were available. I know they are a more hygienic option but cloth hankies are fine and you can wash them and sanitise them. I always have a hankie in my bag.

    That’s exactly what l was going to say. I have never been one to drive kilometres away to buy cheaper fuel and l do try to save money every way l can. Luckily all three major supermarkets are within 4 kilometres from my home.
