Breakfast tacos recipe from MasterChef judge Jock Zonfrillo

I love Jock's recipes but I must brag that my family have been enjoying breakfast tacos for years. I just use Coles brand corn tortillas, bottled salsa (unless I have tomatoes in the garden) we make our guacamole with a splash of soy sauce and about a teaspoon of sweet chilli sauce. I cook...

Big W’s surprise MASSIVE SALE sends shoppers into a frenzy — items being sold for only $3!

The end of season "throw out" sale is definitely a yearly event at my local Big W. I was shown a few years ago how to identify the season code on tags. Any items with a summer season code will scan at $3 even if it doesn't have a sale sticker on it. If you are lucky your local Big W like mine...

Bubble O’ Bill like never before! The iconic ice cream in Easter egg form to hit Australian supermarkets!

Can live without a Bubble O Bill easter egg but my hubby brought me home a Golden Gaytime egg the other day because the Gaytime has always been my favourite ice-cream treat. The Golden Gaytime egg was delicious. Fits the taste profile perfectly. Beautiful caramel and that scrumptious coating. It...

No ALDI trolley gold coins? No problem!

I really can't see any need for all these weird hacks. I've had the same Aldi token on my keyring for years and it works on trolleys everywhere, Coles, Woolies etc.

British woman hasn’t eaten fruits or veggies in 22 years: “It just makes me feel sick”

Poor girl! I can't even begin to imagine going without fruit and veggies. In fact most of my meals are vegetarian in spite of the fact that I am a self confessed meat eater. What a horribly restricted diet. It surely can't be any good for her overall health in the long term. Maybe her body is...

The Benefits of Freezing Your Meals

This has always been a wonderful plan. I don't do it as much now that our four children have left home and my hubby and I are empty nesters. I have a number of friends working long hours full time who prep their freezer meals on a Sunday to get them through the week.

ALDI customer gets scrutinised on social media after lashing out at “rude” staff for not opening a checkout just for her, gets called “entitled”

What a self serving, selfish, picky diva. I've always found the Aldi checkouts very fast indeed. I've also been second or third in line when another register was opened. Is it just me or do a lot of Yanks expect to be treated like superstars.

Woman shares her amazing Bunnings upcycle project – a pedestal dining table

What a brilliant, inventive, clever girl. Your beautiful "new" table looks like a million bucks. Congratulations.

DO WE REALLY CARE! I CERTAINLY DON'T!

Mum SHOCKED after seeing her online order from Coles replaced by… an entirely different item!

Long ago I got so fed up with the crazy substitutes I got for unavailable items that I now always highlight the box that says No substitutes. It's just so much easier to reorder what was unavailable a few days later.

Trending and drop-dead gorgeous 51-year-old mum REVEALS HER SECRETS to ‘age-defying’ beauty

She certainly is beautiful I'm always very wary of people displaying themselves on digital media. You can never tell if their looks are real or just a concotion of filters. I applaud Dove for advertising the need to be natural and proud of yourself without all the filters.

Yay or nay? Experts weigh in on TOP 5 viral cleaning hacks and whether or not they are effective

A small open jar of bi-carb soda in the fridge has been my standard routine for removing odours from the fridge for many many years. I learnt it from my granma who always kept bi-carb in her ice chest before she had a fridge.

The West Cancels Russia: IKEA and other retailers close stores to take a stance against Putin

Congratulations to IKEA and all those stores closing their Russian stores. Unfortunately I think Putin is such a megalomaniac that he won't even take any notice except to turn it into anti-West propaganda.

Nurse shares creepy story of UberEats driver who delivered her food allegedly stalking here — “I could just scream”

I don't use any of those delivery services for just that reason. They end up with so much of your personal information. I would be reporting him to the police as well as complaining to UberEats. I only get food delivered if the outlet has it's own delivery like Pizza Hut and Dominoes.

Hotel guest left HORRIFIED after taking a look inside coffee machine: “It scarred me”

How horrifying! It certainly teaches the lesson to check for cleanliness before you use anything. It seems good advice given by the fellow who is a frequent hotel patron to check the kettle or coffee maker first and then request another room if necessary. I've found in the past that toasters are...

New $12 ‘protein pizza’ available at Woolies!

I'll certainly be trying one of these pizzas. I try to keep a frozen pizza in the freezer at all times. They are great for meals in a hurry or if you haven't got to the shops and even just a nice easy treat for "movie nights".

Nestlé responds to ALDI customer's complaints about Singapore-made MILO with “really weird taste”, assures Australian-made version will be back

This seems to happen a lot at Aldi. It's one of the reasons I don't usually shop at Aldi in spite of their cheaper prices. I quickly checked the Milo I bought at Coles two weeks ago and thankfully it has a Made in Australia message on it.

Melbourne chef shares ‘life-changing’ aluminium foil hack

I do the same thing with a roll of sticky tape so I don't lose the end. Before you put the roll away just fold in a couple of centimetres at the end of the roll you will never have spirals again. If you have a lot of rolls in the drawer where you store your Alfoil just put a small piece of...

Battle of the supermarkets: Loyal Woolworths shopper bids farewell to the store for Coles – “It might be time for a break-up”

Coles is my go-to supermarket. Woolies is too difficult to get to in the first place. Our Coles has a much better bakery, butcher and deli than the nearest Woolies. Prices at Coles are always good especially the weekly half price specials. The Coles Kitchen meals, soups etc are absolutely...

Woman on TikTok sparks outrage for wanting husband to get a vasectomy

So many weird people advertise such personal issues on TicToc. I find it sickening. Vasectomy is not a suitable topic for a public platform. It is a private, personal decision
