Losing it: How a simple lifestyle change helped me shed 20kg

I believe protein is the answer with less carbs. A geriatric brain specialist my husband has just visited said that our brains are protein so as we get older and to avoid the dreaded dementia maybe protein is the answer. I love potatoes though!!!

Save up to 24% Off Your Power Bill

Medical practitioners tell older people to keep warm in winter and to stay cool in summer. How are we supposed to do this with power so expensive even with pensioner discounts.

Doctor exposes foods that are not as healthy as you think

How boring her regime is! I believe that the French drink wine, have lots of butter and cheese, eat creamy desserts, bread and still manage to have low heart disease and stay slim. Small portions of everything I think is the answer.

Shoppers furious about Kmart’s 'age-inappropriate' book

Kids love slightly 'naughty' things. I am a great grandmother and in my day this might have been 'shocking' but now books are written about 'snot' and 'farting' and 'poop'. Not a problem.

Sounds good, but can someone tell me how I can access the pictures that show below the Senior Discount site. I click on ones that interest me but nothing happens.

Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney's spontaneous stopover at fan-created mural celebrating his music

We are Liverpudlians. Not that fussed about Paul McCartney. Better artists came out of our city. Jerry Marsden for one. Some of the stories about Paul McCartney are not flattering.

Are you one of the many Aussies annoyed by this common habit? You're not alone!

People who park their trolly right next to a product you want to get and no matter how you much you have to lean over they continue to stay there. Also people who are on their phones and coming towards you. I have to say, I refuse to move out of the way and if they bump into me well so be it.

Get FREE Grass-Fed Premium Beef For Life From Australia’s No.1 Meat & Seafood Delivery Service

I phoned these guys and they were so helpful. I come from a butchering family and my husband was a butcher and I can tell you that Grass fed meat is far superior. Would rather pay more for something you can eat. My first box arrives tomorrow and we are pensioners so we do watch our budget.

Australian grandmother, Galit Carbone, confirmed dead in Israel-Palestine conflict

All violence particularly against women and children is deplorable. Unfortunately Israel has kept the Palestinians in a virtual prison for years. Many Jews sympathise with them. Many polititians say the violence was unjustified, and yes it was to the extent it was taken. However, you can only...

Australian supermarkets making $1.2 billion yearly from wasted food, report reveals

We are a pensioner couple and would like to see small jars of some products as often, before we use them again, they are out of date. Frozen vegies, always wih us. I have noticed some products now come in smaller packets. Sugar being one of them. Manufacturers need to realise that we are an...

‘Discriminatory’ detail in the car park of a recently opened Woolworths store left shoppers outraged

This lady is absolutely correct. Although families with prams should have bigger bays but near the entrance, not necesary. I also think that there should be parking for the elderly near the entrance. Not all elderly people are in wheelchairs but many still have difficulty walking any distance...

Young girl suffers severe burns from Kmart skincare product, mum issues warning

Would have to agree that an 11 year old should not need any products like this. She would have beautiful young skin why mess with it.

Discover what big change Woolworths has made to their checkouts–will this affect you?

We live in an area where there are a lot of homes but the banks left the shopping centre. If you want money out of the only ATM it is not a bank one and there are charges. Don't have a problem with having to buy something but aren't the supermarlets making huge profits from their customers...
