Coca-Cola to introduce major change to its bottle lids: "No cap is left behind"

I have also wondered about this, and I really don't know. Perhaps it's cheaper for the companies to keep making new plastic bottles than to collect, clean, and sterilise the glass bottles?

Mum 'uses fear' to keep her toddler out of the fridge – is this wrong?

This is the perfect way to either begin, and intensify, a phobia, or perhaps create a new phobia - "fridgaphobia".

Mum 'uses fear' to keep her toddler out of the fridge – is this wrong?

You wouldn't be the only one. I know lots of young children who would be scared. I also know plenty of adults who, even though they KNOW it's not real, would be terrified. There are even people who are so scared of spiders they can't even touch, or look at, a picture of a spider. One of my...

Young woman's photo edited by her Catholic school without her permission: "That's not okay"

Have we heard from any of those male teachers who would feel uncomfortable, or have their words/feelings/opinions been whitewashed as well??

Bodybuilder grandmother beats stereotypes – “People who complain about looking old only have themselves to blame.”

I have no argument with Andrea's choices, and I am pleased for her to be doing something she enjoys, including the health benefits, and her personal achievements,. Congratulations. However, there is no need to blame other people for not making the same choices. Perhaps it would be helpful to...

Simple DIY wooden cup rest for sofa amazes users online – here's how to do it!

While I think it's a good idea, I'm not sure how safe it would be, especially if being used for a breakable cup/glass, or a hot drink as shown in the picture, as it looks too easy to knock the cup off the stand.

Melbourne breakfast fail goes viral on social media — "It was brekkie with a cup of chicken and corn soup, which had no chicken in it"

Cheese? There was cheese?? Maybe they're using their version of "I can't believe it's not cheese".

Mum shares NO-PEEL "boiled" eggs hack: "Definitely going to do this!"

A "NO" from me. * Added preparation and cooking times. * The use of more than one pot/pan, meaning more washing up. * Washing oil from the tin is also more difficult than washing a saucepan that has only boiled water. * Then there's the additional cost of using avocado oil.. Speaking for...

Woolworths stocks cult-favourite plant-based “beef” - “Super juicy and moist!”

I don't think people are criticising people for choosing to be vegan / vegatarian. I respect anyone's choice to be a vegetarian, or vegan. The concern is the labelling of these products as "plant-based MEAT", when technically they are meat substitutes.

The Best Bread For Your Health (And Your Wallet)

As a long-term diabetic, I use wholemeal, or multigrain bread. However, you need to read the list of ingredients, remembering that the ingredients are listed in order of most to least of each ingredient in the bread. I was surprised to find that many wholemeal and multigrain breads have wheat...

Woolies branches to lock away aerosol deodorants to prevent 'substance abuse'

The article explains how to get a staff member. I hope this helps. "Woolworths expects to have secure deodorant cabinets in the health and beauty aisles of its stores by the end of May, and customers who intend to purchase these products must notify a team member by pressing a button on the...

Shoppers slam Woolworths for “spray painting” the fresh flowers for sale in its bouquets — “Not happy, Woolworths!”

Maybe they think the painted flowers look better, but the pink leaves sure spoil the "fresh, natural" look. All in all - not good enough.

Woolworths launches 'Everyday Pay', an all-new QR code payment system nationwide

"Roland Bleyer, founder of creditcard.com.au, explains that it's actually perfectly legal for shops to refuse cash – so long as they make it clear before you purchase." Hence the "NO CASH" signs that are becoming more common. I wonder how long it will be before they change this too?

Woolworths launches 'Everyday Pay', an all-new QR code payment system nationwide

After seeing an interview this morning with a representative from Woolies, I'm having second thoughts. When asked about the privacy and security of the information collected using this system, one of the responses surprised me. Apparently this system is only available for Woolies Reward...

Kmart shopper's unique Mother’s Day gift sparks heated debate on social media — “I would never put my mum at risk!”

Exactly. Obviously cans will be fine. As for chocolate, it's not generally refrigerated, even in the shops and supermarkets where we buy it. So for me, there is no problem. I can understand people pairing "fridge" and "milk" though. Perhaps the makers need to add information regarding the...

Coles set to launch an all-new "meat" range (with a huge twist!)

So true. If they truly believe in not eating meat products, then stand up and own those beliefs. I respect the choice of others, but also expect them to respect my right to choose what I eat. Maybe we should start producing "meat-based" vegetables. Fair's fair??

Coles set to launch an all-new "meat" range (with a huge twist!)

I thought the whole point of accurate labelling was to prevent food products from being mislabelled - and therefore, falsely advertising products. How can something that has NO meat be legally allowed to advertised as "meat", even if they try to qualify it as "plant-based meat". False and...
