New research suggests TWO physical indicators could be EARLY signs of dementia

My mother-in-law has early stages of dementia. She is starting to forget names and a few things here and there. She gets a bit frustrated when she can't remember things. She wants to say the name of the person but can't remember it, when she is told the name she says 'oh yes that person'. We...

The cat’s out of the bag! The Public Servants on twice the Prime Minister’s salary

Salaries for some of these heads of Departments is very high but what really gets me is "salaries" of some of the soccer players who get paid 10s of millions of dollars and some 100s of millions of dollars. I find those salaries obscene.

'I can't believe I didn't think of this before': THIS pizza hack has people talking!

I don't like frozen pizza. The base is too cardboardy (is that a word). And I ALWAYS have to add salami, cheese etc to it. So what is the point of buying frozen pizza. I just goto my local pizza food chain and get the $5 pizza from them. Or if I have extra money I get a more expensive pizza. I...

Is it gross or totally normal? This woman's toilet question has the internet divided

There are natural body functions that every adult understands. She is with her husband so I am somewhat puzzled by her concerns. If she had just started to go out with someone, then maybe there could be some hesitation. A non-event from my perspective.

Ex-pat shocked by Aussie cafe: 'This has never happened to me!'

I am glad about the trust shown by the Café. It doesn't happen much anywhere else. And I like the decency of the person to go back and pay for it later. Lets not some bad apples get in the way of decency for our society. I haven't encountered cash being rejected yet but I am sure I will. By the...

Airline passenger enraged by a traveller’s ‘rude’ act on the plane – do YOU agree?

Ah! The lost art of communication. Why can't people politely ask first and then escalate to the airline steward. Hopefully, that resolves the situation. Others have suggested the same thing in the above responses. I am unsure what would be effective if the situation isn't resolved after the...

Is Prince Harry in hot water again? A new book claims he sent 'horrible' emails to royal staff

Games people play for fame and fortune. However, I always thought Meghan was a bit of trouble. The Firm is not innocent either.

One Aussie woke up to find $58 million in his bank account – what he did next surprised…well, everyone!

I would have to return it. It is not worth being scared of life because the authorities are chasing you. And if I spent it the court will force me to pay it back. I would rather live a peaceful life with my limited funds and I would be able to look at myself in the mirror.

Popular restaurant under fire for secretly charging 'hidden' fees: 'What a joke'

I haven't noticed additional charges. From now on, I will pay more attention. I have encountered a surcharge on public holidays. So we don't go out to eat on public holidays. I find that the additional charges coming in, is Americanism sneaking into our lives. I won't be supporting those places.

Fundamental change coming to supermarket dairy aisles – Are you in favour of it?

We tried some plant based mince a couple of weeks ago. It did not meet our taste requirements. Eventually we managed to finish the dish by adding spices to it to improve the taste. We won't be buying it again. It may suite other peoples palate but it is not for us. I also think we will give the...

Customer horrified to find 'sewage' spill in supermarket's deli area: 'It stinks'

What the heck is this fascination some people have with posting things on social media? Most of us on this forum, it appears, would go to the staff and inform that there is a problem in an area. The staff take care of it and we continue with our shopping. Nobody else really needs to know, do...
