This supermarket's controversial feature further sparks discussion among shoppers

I use self checkouts as my shop is usually small. It's faster and easier. However self checkouts are feeding the theft industry as it's so easy to steal this way. There's usually only one staff member on watching 10 or more checkouts. I've gone up to use a checkout only to discover unpaid items...

Shopper disappointed over gruesome discovery on Woolworths roast chicken: ‘I’m so put off chicken’

It is entirely more likely that the contamination happened at home. A fly has blown the chicken after opening, as maggots develop rather quickly from the eggs.

Retired tram driver discovers strange beneficiaries on super fund account

Most funds only verify and change the beneficiaries every 3 years, as mine did, but you should check your fund at least every year imo.

Two foreigners go to jail for installing card readers on ATMS

My DIL had this happen last week, she lost all her fortnights pay over the weekend to multiple Amazon USA purchases. Luckily she was reimbursed by the bank. This isn't directly a Centerlink issue, it's a MyGov issue. Someone has accessed your MyGov account and changed your banking details with their own to receive your payments. I hope you have changed all your passwords and set up 3 factor authentication.

You Won't Believe What This Outrageous Note Said About a Tradie's Parking Skills!

This is clearly a joke, printed out and kept in the car for just such an occasion! I myself was going to do something similar, but for parents who parked and left their car in the drop off/pick-up lane at our local school., right next to the NO PARKING sign!!

Pensioner draws flak after offering one unusual living solution for $125: 'I'd rather be set up under the overpass'

There are probably many this would benefit. People who have been kicked out or had to leave their rentals due to costs, and looking for a safe place to camp temporarily. The cost is affordable and I personally would feel safer in someone's backyard than in the local park, street or bushland.

Services Australia warns recipients to be vigilant over ‘bonus’ Centrelink payments

Isn't that what the money is for? To pay your medical bills? To help you back to good health and work? It's not an income replacement.
