Let's talk about spring onions - should you buy them or grow your own?

I grow seasonal vegetables every year. Instead of having a beautiful crop of tomatoes, corn, zucchini, green peppers, I only have 1 tomato bush, 1 corn stalk (with 3 ears) and I cucumber plant because we literally had no spring weather. We went from WINTER straight into SUMMER! Last year...

Find out if YOUR local hospital made the list of Australia's most underperforming public hospitals

It is absolutely disgusting how our elderly are being treated just because they are deemed to be 'too old'. Hello?? they are still people who require loving care and attention no matter what their age. In the Aged Care Facility I worked at, when a resident was deemed to be a falls risk, the...

Long receipt for one item leaves Woolies shopper wondering why

I am not interested in these digital receipts; paper ones allow me to check my purchases which every now and then, have errors in them. I am also part of a Homescan group and need this paper receipt to record my purchases. Btw, totally agree with Thecheesequeen's comments.

Do you think this Coles shopper's attempt to get free chicken is 'scabby'? Find out what people are saying!

I always keep my dockets and match them up with the product once I get home. Occasionally errors happen but the staff at the Service Counter (when I next go in), are more than happy to either refund or sort out the difference - no worries. A little courtesy to these supermarket cashiers goes a...

Woolies shopper's $235 saving draws mixed reactions on social media: 'Not really free, is it?'

I agree ...... I racked up $280.00 worth of Rewards dollars and no, I only purchase grocery items that I need - not because they are on special BUT if these items that I need are on special - a win win situation for me.

Woolies shopper's $235 saving draws mixed reactions on social media: 'Not really free, is it?'

Certainly, it is a great saving if you want tableware. I have not taken advantage of this purely because I already have enough crockery/glassware to see me out. My focus is on the substantial savings I make when shopping every 2/3 weeks.

WATCH: Dramatic Scene on Flight as Police Escort Intoxicated Passenger Off Plane as Angry Onlookers Cheer

Golly gosh, if this woman was inebriated when she entered the plane, she should have been escorted straight off it. If that was not the case, she should not have been given drinks to the point of inebriation. Duty of care .....

Are you unknowingly breaking the law? Find out the little-known driving violations that could get you fined for as high as $533!

I have tooted and waved, and also flash the lights after encountering a 'flash for cash' vehicle on the side of the road. This is appreciated by the majority of oncoming traffic, especially the truckie and I will continue to do so regardless what the 'law' says!

What has happened to op shops? Have charity shops become greedy?

Golly gosh ..... the St. Vinnies I volunteer at is nothing like all of you describe. All clothing is priced between $2.00 and $10.00 with vintage items selling slightly higher. When clothing comes in, it is sorted out, bras and knickers are washed as are salvageable items, and torn, dirty (and...

Mum loses decade-long savings after falling for a shocking scam - here's the heartbreaking story

A very hard lesson learnt. I generally regard each phone call as suspicious unless proven otherwise but the second there is a delay from your first "hello" to theirs and you can hear other voices in the background, I hang up. Generally is a good indication of what is actually going on....go...
