Age check or checkout: ALDI cashier extends plea to shoppers over ID checks

In the US you have to show proof of age at any shop you buy alcohol from. And some of the big chains don't recognise foreign drivers licenses! I had to go and drag my 95 year old mum out of the car so she could show her driver's license!!! It did make me laugh though.

Simple, tech-savvy tip for finding the best grocery deals stuns the internet!

I use the Coles app to make a shopping list. You choose your store and then the app tells you which aisle the item is on! That makes shopping faster as you can avoid the aisles you don’t need to go down. This stops some impulse buying as well!!

I am a Tupperware tragic which keeps my vegetables fresher for ages. However there are a couple of tricks you can use. At Coles & Woolies you can buy ‘eco-freshness bags’ that are wonder workers for keeping vegetable fresh. The ones I have are blue with a ziplock seal. I always wrap my...

Expert weighs in on the question: Are self-serve checkouts taking jobs away from hard-working Aussies?

I still believe that younger school aged kids are the losers here. And this started way before Covid as Dicky just posted. Now there is talk of removing all cash registers from stores like K-mart. I don't like them at all. They are asking me to do their job for them and I still pay the same...

    Creamy Potato Bake Recipe

The photo that goes with this recipe does not match the method. The photo shows a 'scalloped' potato bake which are slices of potatoes. The recipe calls for the potatoes to be 'chopped small' (not even sure I know what that means, ie how small. I'm being picky I know but I hate it when the...

Is ‘Australian Made’ a giant scam?

I concur with good morning. I have friends who run a souvenir wholesale business. They employ 3 people, all with family. They all spend their wages in Australia. They also have several couriers who also spend their wages in Australia. The businesses that they supply have staff who also spend...

Leftover wine going to waste? Try this refreshing hack instead!

I imagine white wine would work the same. I have done this once or twice with Red wine and used it in cooking. Worked for me. Cooking actually 'cooks' the alcohol out and you are left with the flavour.

The $59 Kmart appliance that shoppers are raving about — “It’s amazing!”
