If I am feeling anxious or stressed, my "Sammich to Jour" is as follows.

Vegemite, Peanut Butter, Cheese and Brown Onion. on White bread.
The cheese must be a bitey cheddar against the peanut butter side.
The onion should be generously laid into the thick Vegemite layer.
Eat this once and you too will become a fan.
Oh and much calmer human bean.

I think the abundance of fresh lemon trees in my backyard as a child encouraged this 78 year old memory to be shared. As a teenager & young pregnant woman I loved to sit in bed at night with a cut lemon, salt & spoon & eat away, loved it. I can feel some shuddering but to me it was loverly.

I still eat lemon like that but I add a little chilli to it.

that's a family favourite with our mob.. my Mum said you used to buy bottles of Honeynut which were a ready made mix. I also like peanut butter and gherkins and also cheese and pickles. Thank heavens for varied tastes.

Spray olive oil on multigrain bread and fry lightly until brown, top with banana heated in the frypan. Top it off with crispy bacon pieces.
