TikTok user Ali Decosmo (@alidecosmo) shared the short clip to her 7,275 followers late last month and it quickly went viral, garnering over 12 million views. In the footage (which is just 10 seconds long), Decosmo's dad can be seen pressing an apple onto the tip of a power drill before turning it on to rotate at high speed while he holds up a vegetable peeler and deftly skins the fruit at high speed. Amazing!
The actual peeling portion of the clip only lasts for a few seconds but it's still pretty mesmerising to watch nonetheless. Accompanying the footage is the caption: ‘Papa doesn't have time for hand peeling,’ with Ali writing in overlay text: ‘My dad's a genius.’
