Some years ago, hubby saw an ad for a very lightweight mobility scooter. The picture showed a mobility scooter, and it was described as a 'mobility aid' I use a scooter when I'm having a bad day, and he thought it might be easier to put this one in the car to go shopping. He ordered it and a few weeks later, the 'mobility aid' arrived. It was a walking stick.

Hubby emailed the company and pointed out that they were breaking the law by false advertising. They apologised profusely and promised to send the advertised product immediately. The product arrived several days later. It was another walking stick! I already had three walking sticks, so now I have five.

I ordered a back of the car tent and watched the video on how to set it up. It took about 4 weeks to arrive and I got a notification to say it had arrived and so I looked around the house to see where they left it. I checked the mailbox and there was a bulky envelope in there. When I opened it 1 got 2 face masks and the package was from the company I ordered the tent through. I got my money back after putting in a complaint.

Quite recently I made an order that included a pack of 100 toothpicks, those white plastic curved multi-use plastic ones with the floss. When the parcel arrived I found one single toothpick separately well wrapped with its own bar code. I have kept it as originally wrapped for posterity of someone's extraordinary literal online order-packing skills. The order placed was as # 1, as in the pack shown not individual items. How did they get a single item I wonder? Open a pack then spend time packing and barcoding it??
I was charged 98 cents as was the price for the 100pk.
On consideration, I decided to contact the seller, a large popular online company's refund applications and they immediately credited me the 98 cents after swiftly advising me I did not have to return the item! What? I thought all items for refund requests had to be returned!

Many years ago, I ordered what looked like a lovely, flowing skirt, in my size, from ebay. The skirt I received was tiny. I couldn't even get it around my thigh. I ended up giving it to a 3 year old girl, and it fitted her perfectly.

I also learnt the hard way to always read the description, especially the size
I saw what I thought was a table lamp, it was glass in different colours, boho style which I thought my daughter in law would love for her lounge. When it arrived it was about 6"x4". At least my granddaughter loved it, but at $79 plus postage it was an expensive lesson, that unfortunately I didn't learn.
I then purchased what I thought was a really cute soft toy, king Charles cavalier puppy, I had recently lost my Bindi and I thought I would put this on my bed to remind me of him.
Same thing, it turned out to look nothing like the picture, it was like a miniature hard wind up toy that jumped up and down and wagged it's tail when you pressed the button.
This site had many of these, different types of puppies, I believe so many people would have been caught with this one
I now check full details of anything before I purchase.

I ordered a flat pack tv unit, but when it arrived there was no hardware or instructions. When we emailed the company, they asked us which pieces were missing. I said they were all missing. They then asked us to take a photo of the missing pieces! It took about fifteen hilarious emails back and forward to finally work out it should have come in two boxes instead of just one.
