You won’t believe what this tourist did at Elvis’ estate that’s causing a massive uproar!

Elvis fans around the world are in shock and outrage after footage of a British tourist taking a swim at the famous estate of the Rock ‘n’ Roll King in Memphis, Tennessee went viral on social media.

The tourist, Tommy Purcell, and his wife, Nanny Murphy left viewers stunned and unimpressed after the clip showed the pair’s brazen behaviour at the King of Rock’s estate.

The video starts with Tommy already stepping over the fence of the restricted area, which was clearly marked with a ‘Do Not Enter’ sign.

He then proceeded to saunter over to the diving board beside the pool and jumped.

Naturally, onlookers were not happy. Egged on by the objection of their comments, a female security officer is seen sprinting to the pool, ready to kick the tourist out.

'You’re not allowed to do that,' she shouted as Tommy stepped onto the diving board.

'My husband jumped into Elvis pool,' Mrs Murphy wrote with humour in her post. Unfortunately for this couple, the internet wasn't too forgiving.

'How is this funny? People are so disrespectful, and I hope he got arrested,' wrote one user.

Another said: 'Watching this made my blood boil. It makes me so mad how people think it’s OK!'

Without a drop of remorse, in a later video, Mrs Murphy defended her husband’s actions.

'No, it’s not being disrespectful because it’s just jumping into a pool,' she said.

'Elvis caught someone jumping into his pool once and he didn’t stop them or get them arrested, he let them stay in the pool.'

So although Mrs Murphy articulated their love for Elvis in the post, this didn’t really do anything to help the overall opinion of her husband’s actions.

Tommy was eventually escorted off the premises by security, contrary to expectations, was not banned or arrested.

not only dumb but iliterate as well.

Shame they weren’t arrested and deported. Bad behaviour is never excusable. Obviously they have no respect for anything. No doubt they did it to get their 10 seconds of fame, or maybe their mentality is so low that they don’t know right from wrong.

Rude. That place is an absolute shrine to Elvis’ memory. While not a fan of his,I imagine millions of his fans would have been appalled by this blatant disrespect. Arresting is too good. Deportation sounds better.

Why is this even worth publishing?

I really couldn't care less that this guy jumped into the pool.

There are more important things to worry about than this.

I am not a fan of Elvis Presley but find that this idiot (and wife supporting his irrational action) should at least have been fined for trespassing property. I often watch cop movies and could think of a myriad of other hefty fines for these brainless duo. 🥴

I did some research :

In Tennessee USA, if an intruder attempts to forcefully and without permission enter a property, the owner or appointed security has the right to shoot them without warning. 😆

Trespass is first and foremost a criminal offense and the person can face a civil lawsuit and saddled with a criminal record. There is also a Law in Tennessee USA regarding “Disturbing the Peace” (offensive conduct) which also carries fines.

Criminal trespass is a class C misdemeanor that carries penalties of up to 30 days in jail and a $50. The same applies to disorderly or offensive conduct (Class C misdemeanor) carrying a fine of up to $50 and jail time of up to 30 days in jail.

In summary this guy should have been jailed for 60 days and paid $100 fines.

There seems to be so little respect across the board these days. Good manners and respect were the norm growing up in my day , I'm 73. There's really no excuse .
Wow! This is NOTHING compared to what we boomers used to get up to back in the 1960s!

We were the generation that turned the world on its head.
