The EWG has detected the pesticide glyphosate, a weed-killer found in RoundUp, in cereals in both 2018 and 2023.

This is nonsense and shouldn't have been published. The EWG is an American activist group whose raison detre is to frighten consumers. Glyphosate is a herbicide, not a pesticide which breaks down rapidly by soil bacteria. I doubt if a strawberry farmer is going to spray it on his strawberry crop.

Bayer Monsanto has lost a half dozen cases regarding glyphosate (RoundUp) and non-Hodgkins lymphoma in the US, with thousands more pending, and millions of dollars already awarded, though a case jyst went Bayer's way Nov 2024. It was banned for quite a few years in the EU, but the company has spent massively to swing Brussels back to the old status quo, and recently succeeded. It appears to be considerably better than its predecessors but is now ubiquitous in every living thing. Glyphosate is used widely in Australia as a dessicant on grain crops (oats, barley, soy, and yes, wheat) to get them to dry out faster ready for harvest. It's also widely used in domestic gardens and by councils as a weedkiller. It's supposed to be safe after a few weeks. Do you believe that? You can see RoundUp in hardware stores and major grocery chains. Is it a factor in prostate cancer? Stanford study says yes. Other cancers? As most testing of dangerous products in the USA is paid for by the producers (due to the expense) and rubber stamped by the EPA, we'll likely never hear. Just don't buy your food if it's made in USA. Incidentally, Bayer has made a 'new' Roundup without glyphosate, using diquat/paraquat instead - which is banned in the EU since 2019 - a rapid dessicant for potatoes, approved by Australian authorities. Look up some of these chemicals (there's also a ton of good documentaries) - and grow your own food where possible.

GMO food covered in poison. No wonder there are so many people with food allergies in this country. Most other countries have banned GMO seeds and poisons. Unfortunately, Australia follows America so Monsanto have a `foot plus` in the door here.
