You’re probably using your paper towel holder wrong: TikToker shares ‘MIND-BLOWING’ paper towel hack

One of the best things about the internet is how users can all come together to figure out the most clever and efficient way to use a variety of household items. If you’ve ever wondered what those arches in paper towel holders are for, we’ve got the answer for you here… Prepare to have your mind blown!

TikToker, LeeAnn Larsen shared a 15-second clip in response to another user’s video wondering what the purpose of her paper towel holder’s metal arches was.

“Why do I feel like this should have a function? I’ve spent 30 minutes – why is this here?” the woman in the first few seconds of the video asks, moving a piece of paper towel in an attempt to get to the bottom of things.

The video then transitions to LeeAnn with a similar holder, smoothly inserting a piece of the paper towel between the two arches and then using it as well to tear the piece from the roll.

Her simple hack amassed over 5.7 million views and 300 thousand likes, with users flooding the comments to express their astonishment.

“I can't even find the words to explain how much my mind is blown.” one user wrote.

“Yeah, I don't think I'm doing anything right anymore…” another added.

While a third teased: “Every day I learn something new at TikTok University.”

And a fourth asked: “Are we even qualified to be adults?”

Other viewers weren’t as surprised– pointing out how the arches’ purpose was obvious.

“It literally looks like a paperclip, take a hint.” one argued.

“I guess I'm the rare person that knew…” shared another, to which a third replied: “I knew, but it's a pain to use. It rips the paper towel and then the whole thing falls over. I hate it!”
