Woolworths will feature over million hams as centrepiece of Australian Christmas tables this year

As the festive season approaches, Woolworths is unwrapping a gift for all the Christmas chefs.

They offer exclusive ham glazes to make your holiday feast easier and more delectable.

With over a million hams anticipated to be the centrepiece of Australian Christmas dinners, Woolworths ensures that your festive table is nothing short of spectacular.

For just $4, these glazes promise to transform your Christmas ham into a gourmet delight with minimal effort.

The new range includes the Woolworths Fig, Honey, and Thyme Glaze 150g ($4) jar of sweet and savoury bliss that complements smoked ham.

For those who enjoy warm, sweet flavours, the Woolworths Spiced Apple Glaze 150g ($4) is the ideal complement to traditional hams.

Woolworths' ham range, now available in-store and online, boasts nearly 20 specialty ham products.

This includes the award-winning Half-Leg Ham, which remains competitively priced at $8 per kilo—the same as last year, ensuring that quality doesn't come at an inflated cost.

Other popular selections include the Woolworths Quarter Leg Ham, a superb choice for smaller gatherings.

It is naturally wood-smoked for a richer flavour and is available at $12.50 per kilo.

For those seeking an even more robust taste, the Woolworths Double Smoked Leg Ham offers a bigger flavour and is more affordable this year at $12.00 per kilo.

Robyn Gibbs, Woolworths Food Company Product Developer, shares the sentiment behind these festive innovations:

'Christmas is a time for celebrating with loved ones and enjoying delicious food.'

'This year, we're introducing two new ham glazes to bring an elevated flavour experience to your Christmas hams.'

'We know how busy the season can be, so we've made these glazes incredibly easy to use: You simply brush them on your ham and let the oven do the rest.'

The Woolworths Ham Glaze range is available in-store and online until the end of the year, ensuring you can add that special touch to your Christmas meal until the last minute.

Let's discuss the 'shocking PR secrets' that Woolworths might not want you to know.

While the supermarket giant offered these tantalizing glazes and hams, it's important to remember that the festive season is also a time of heightened marketing.

Supermarkets like Woolworths are experts at creating a sense of urgency and exclusivity around their products to drive sales.

The limited availability of these glazes is a classic marketing tactic designed to get you into the store or online to make a purchase before time runs out.

Moreover, while the glazes are reasonably priced, they are part of a larger strategy to entice customers to buy more.

By offering a range of hams at different price points and sizes, Woolworths caters to every budget and household—but also maximizes the chance that you'll walk away with more than just a ham in your shopping cart.

My Nana always just mixed brown sugar with the juice of a small tin of pinepple rounds for the glaze. After cutting off the skin score the fat and put a clove in each diamond and place ham in a baking dish. Put the pineapple pieces on the outside, the cloves will hold them or use a toothpick then bake for an hour or so basting continuously with the brown sugar and pineapple juice mix. It is delicious and cheap. And compliments the flavour of the ham.
