Woolworths Unveils Disney Collectible Collaboration

Woolworths is back with a new collectible collection that will thrill Disney enthusiasts throughout Australia!

The supermarket giant has introduced an exciting collectible campaign called 'Disney 100 Wonders Collector Cards' to commemorate Disney's milestone 100th anniversary.

This exciting release is set to drive shoppers and their little Disney devotees into a magical frenzy!

Those eager to get their hands on the cards can start collecting from Wednesday, July 26.

With characters spanning across the captivating world of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, Woolworths' latest collection is a real treasure trove. Indeed, the supermarket giant has certainly pulled out all the magic stops!

The lineup includes 100 character cards to collect. You'll recognise time-honoured favourites such as Mickey Mouse and Woody.

However, also look out for more recent additions to the Disney family, such as Captain Marvel and Grogu—the beloved character from Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

But it gets even better!

Amidst the cards are over 100 unique prints of a limited holographic 'ultra rare' Walt Disney card.

These are stashed in packs randomly, so some lucky Disney fans will own a piece of Disney's legacy as they celebrate its centennial.

Customers shopping in-store or online can earn a free pack of Disney 100 Wonders Collector Cards for every $30 spent. Participating products also offer bonus packs. Each pack contains three 'Wonder'-full cards!

Paul Stibbard, Woolworths Senior Manager Collectibles & Continuity, outlined the inspiration behind the campaign: 'Our new Disney 100 Wonders Collector Cards give our customers the chance to bring home a special treat as part of their regular grocery shop.’

He added, 'Our customers of all ages love Disney, and for those who are also passionate about card-collecting, this is an extra reward when they shop with us.'

He added that the selection spanned the Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars franchises, offering excitement for Disney enthusiasts of all ages.

It's not just about the thrill of collecting, though. Woolworths has thoughtfully ensured the collector cards are kerbside recyclable and, in a further effort towards sustainability, are made from FSC-certified paper with water-soluble inks.

This follows Woolworths' successful 'Bricks' collection.

These collectibles have been in such high demand that they have been resold online at premium prices. The rare glitter Elsa Ooshie from a previous event was listed for up to a whopping $15,000 on eBay!

A way to a person's heart is their child . What a great way to get a customer to spend .

I still have a big bag of coles shopping items as well as a bag of little books. Those oshies I threw out , they were too small for little kids and to young for older kids.

I have whole collections of McDonald's toys from the 80s and 90s including the Snoopy doll collection which supposedly be worth something.

OO! The latest Woolies get-rich-quick scheme. That's get rich for the chain, not the people who shell out the bucks for it. And then, no doubt, they'll make sure the valuable items are included in their wills so their descendants will thank them for ever.

I think its a great idea. My grandson loves these little treats from Woolies. It saves me money as I don't spend any extra money in Woolies to get them and I don't have to buy him a treat. Win win.
