Woolworths releases vegan Christmas treats ahead of the holidays
Finding ready-to-eat food when you have a dietary restriction can be quite frustrating. Most of the time, you have to prepare food for yourself to make sure that you're meeting your nutritional requirements and you avoid ingredients that are not good for you.
Vegans have had this issue for the longest time due to the fact that ready-to-eat meals available for purchase are usually not vegan-friendly.
If you are a vegan and you would like to indulge yourself in Christmas treats but do not have the time to prepare them, then you should keep reading to find out what Woolworths has in store for you!
Woolworths has recently announced that they will be launching five new plant-based products for their Christmas range.
Woolworths' Plantitude Christmas range will include a vegan traditional fruit pudding, a dairy-free vanilla custard, a dairy-free brandy custard, a plant-based Christmas roast, and a vegan version of their classic mud cake, which the supermarket giant sells for only $4.50.

Additionally, Woolworths released a range of 'Free From' Christmas treats, catering for customers with food allergies and intolerances.
The 'Free From' Christmas range features baked goodies such as puddings and fruit mince pies, which you can find in the bakery section of its stores.
Woolworths Food Company Managing Director Guy Brent said: “Christmas is all about bringing together family and friends while sharing quality fresh food, but with that comes a range of dietary restrictions or preferences.”
“This Christmas, […] we’ve made it easy for customers to get everything they need for their festive spread in one shop at Woolworths. We know many customers enjoy variety in their diet. We’ve seen a 23% lift in demand for our Woolworths Plantitude products last year, so we’re expecting many more Christmas spreads to include plant-based products this year.”
The Plantitude Christmas range will be rolling out in select stores throughout November while the Woolworths 'Free From' range is currently available in your local stores.
