Woolworths Checkout Hack: How to get through the line faster than everyone else

We've all been there. You're standing in line at the self-serve checkout, ready to pay for your purchase and be on your way. But then, the receipt starts printing... and printing... and printing.

It's so annoying! Why can't the receipt just print out quickly?

Well, if you're one of those people who don't like waiting for the receipt to print out after you paid for your groceries, we've got great news for you!

Thanks to a little-known checkout trick, Woolworths customers can now get paperless receipts and avoid that annoying wait.

Additionally, this checkout trick is not only great for cutting down on paper use, but it also makes it easy to keep track of your spending.

So, how exactly can Woolies shoppers take advantage of this new feature?

The process is simple: customers only need to log in to their Everyday Rewards app, click on the "Account Page", and update their receipt preferences.

Voila! All subsequent receipts of purchases will be digitally recorded in the app from thereafter.

It should be noted that shoppers can use the eReceipts for refunds if necessary, saving you the trouble of scrambling through bags and wallets to retrieve the paper receipts.

Additionally, customers who choose the digital option are helping the environment by having all of their paperwork in one place, as some customers may not be aware that paper receipts cannot be recycled because of the thin plastic film that covers the printer.

Woolworths Everyday Rewards managing director Hannah Ross said that while the retailer introduced the feature in June last year, customers are only catching up with the new feature recently.

"Our eReceipts functionality available within the Everyday Rewards app was launched with the goal of streamlining the checkout experience for customers, while also supporting our wider group sustainability commitments," she said.

“We are pleased to see eReceipts are proving popular with Everyday Rewards members, with over one million shoppers now opting out of paper receipts, saving on average 13 metres of paper per customer, every year.”

It was said that since its release last year, millions of customers have switched to eReceipts and ditched paper receipts.
