Woman accused of theft at Woolworths fights back

Grocery shopping should be a fairly straightforward errand. But there are times when we still find ourselves in sticky situations.
Such as the case of this young woman, who was shopping at a Woolworths in Broken Hill, whose alleged discriminatory experience has become popular on social media.
The young woman found herself in a heated confrontation with a Woolworths security guard who, allegedly, assumed she was indulging in some five-finger discounts.
The woman noticeably riled up, took to social media to share a video of her argument with the security personnel, claiming she had been 'discriminated' against.
'They've got no proof I've stolen,' she wrote in her post.
'I'm trying to pay for food,' the woman told the security guard.
To which the security guard replied: 'You are thieves and you're banned from the complex.'
The woman then tells security that she had been previously guided through the store by police and had not found any proof that she had stolen.
'Yeah, they do,' a man retorted.
'Well why haven't I been charged,' she replied.

The woman claimed she was being discriminated against and said: 'I've had to call the police to help me shop for my own safety.'
'You can't just assume someone is a criminal, I work for my money just like you,' she added.
However, users online seemed divided over the merit of the woman's claims—some questioning the circumstances leading to the confrontation.
'Show the full footage, not half of it,' one commented.
An alleged supermarket employee also weighed in, saying: 'Guys, I work at Coles and trust me, there are definitely two sides to this! You can tell [she] is guilty cause she can't stop talking and swearing!'
While a third added: 'What's happening, there's always two sides of the story, this 15-second video is not explaining anything.'
Others were more empathetic towards her with one saying: 'I've been followed around then accused of putting s*** down my pants, only if they knew I had an income and have a kid on the way.'
The woman who shared the video has reportedly already been banned from the Broken Hill Woolworths store and was asked to leave the building by the security guard who intervened as he was aware of the banning notice.
In other news, a Queensland security guard’s life was saved by bystanders after she was allegedly attacked while on duty on Sunday at a Kmart store on the Sunshine coast.
According to the details of the investigation, emergency services were called to Sunshine Plaza at around 11:20 am on Sunday after incoming reports stated that a 39-year-old woman had been assaulted just outside Kmart.
Police allege that the 24-year-old suspect left the retail store without paying for the clothing she still had in her trolley.
An employee from the store and a security guard then approached the suspect, presumably to question her, when she allegedly assaulted the security guard.
