Any country you visit that does not grow grapes or make wine is your heads up not to drink any. Drink the local beer - bottled or canned. Safer for your health and your wallet. Once paid more for the wine than the whole meal for 3 in Vietnam. My own fault, as I asked my friends what they wanted to drink.

Please go Bali is a really beautiful place, with lovely people. I have been 5 times and have never had this problem. I am sure it was not a deliberate rip-off as this just not happen in reputable places and even street vendors. God knows where he went to dinner for those prices, as we have had the best food ever and service, for less than we we pay in australia. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner for 11 days at various places around Bali cost me $1,000 , including drinks such as cocktails , spirits, even desserts. This was November last year, and will be going again next year for my 7th time. Our fares too were $200 return by Jetstar, booked in February 2022, and we stayed in a two storey, villa with pool in a cluster of only 8, nice and quiet, even off main Kuta drag. The villa which was lovely too, had 4 bedrooms, 2 ensuite, costing for 12 days was $680, between 3 it came to $240 each. Sorry for raving on, but everytime I go to Bali, I dont want to go home. Any cheap rentals there lol?
