When we Sang God Save The Queen​

A memory that is so fitting for this solemn day .

Remembering when at school in the 60s, we stood facing the Australian flag and the picture of the Queen and Sang ...God Save The Queen.

I think somehow we showed more respect because of such simple things like this.

Thank you Suzanne, for adding to our happy memories of our dear Queen, on this very sad day. It was inevitable, of course, that she would die one day, and yet it seems so unreal that our ‘forever’ Queen is with us no more. How we used to repeat: “long live the Queen” with joy, pride and, as you say, with respect. Our prayers go to her immediate family, and to everyone whose lives she touched.
