Popular presenters of the morning radio talk show, the Kyle and Jackie O Show, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson, were left stunned when an undercover security guard spilt the beans about the most stolen item from supermarkets.
‘For the month of July, I’d like you guys to guess what was the most stolen item,’ the guard asked the pair.
The duo made different guesses, with Kyle opting for razor blades due to their high comparative value, making them a prime target.
Jackie suggested it could be tampons–an everyday essential, making it a likely candidate.
However, the caller upturned all expectations, revealing that the item most often 'pilfered' was not either of these but...barbecue chickens!
'They’re stealing them out of the rotisserie?’ Kyle asked in disbelief, which the caller confirmed yes.
Jackie queried, 'Where are they putting it to steal it?'
Unbelievably, the undercover officer caught two people who stashed the stolen chooks down their pants.
'Holy s***! A whole chicken!' Jackie exclaimed.
Kyle questioned the attire that enabled this feat, and it was revealed to be track pants.
'Trackies. Yeah, big trackies,' the caller replied.

By contrast, Elly spent just over half that amount, $26, on the same day at a local fresh food grocer and received a sizeable stack of fresh vegetables.
