I think most people under the age of 18 would have absolutely no idea what one of these does:

Yes definitely the window winder, but, what about the quarter window 😳

... or even the headlight dipswitch on the floor.

A small ashtray in the armrest of the back doors

How about one of these things? Anyone used to have one?

A manual gear box...:ROFLMAO:

I recently had the use of a Mercedes Benz SUV. New model. The auto gear stick was just like an indicator stick on the steering wheel. Very confusing.

A true test, and what the heck if it dates me, Hand Throttle, Advance / Retard lever on steering column, Hand operated choke....

Reminds me of my first car Ted, a 1929 Chevvy... :)

Hmm a 1918 Hillman, followed by a 1927 Pontiac, then a 1934 master Chev Coupe, then a further collection of bombs ad infinitum..... learned auto repairs and maintenance the hard way.

Vacuum operated wipers - when you put your foot down on the accelerator, the wipers stopped or slowed right down

Vacuum fuel pump, notoriously un reliable... I replaced on my old Pontiac with a modern electric one!

Only very ancient cars had those Ron hehehehe oops
I'll give you bloody hehehe Ted... 😂 I've never had an automatic car in my life...I'm a driver, not a loafer...;)
