I don't know what one of those is, unless it was called something else where I was.

I owned an old Vanguard with the crank handle to start it in the morning. It had a charger for recharging the battery during the day but the battery did not have enough charge to start the motor in the morning. The car had quarter windows on all the doors (front and back) and roller blinds ond the back doors and front passenger window. Great car.

No synchro in the gearbox. You had to double de-clutch to change gears.

Ah Ok, thanks. Never heard it called that before, it was just a double clutch to me.

Exactly, and then you had a whole lot of trouble trying to start it.

It's true, most of my friends don't drive manual. I still do and I really enjoy it. It is a massive shame that they are being phased out slowly.
