What happens when muscle relaxers interact with alcohol in the body?

Muscle relaxers like the Soma pill are an effective treatment for musculoskeletal pain. It is a schedule IV drug which indicates low potency of abuse. Mixing Soma muscle relaxers with alcohol is not advisable as both have an overlapping effect on the brain receptors. Soma and alcohol together are common forms of abuse. People mix both compounds to get the sedative feeling, Soma high, relaxation, and sleepiness. However, the prescription use of Soma muscle relaxer is short-term pain relief. Combining Soma with alcohol can have possible health risks such as fatigue, stomach ache, weight loss, poor appetite, etc. Thus, it is not safe to take Soma muscle relaxers with alcohol or any alcoholic beverages.
