'We need to rule it out for 2025': Aussie presenter shocks audiences with raunchy remark

The world of live television is no stranger to occasional slip-ups

A Today Show host recently just took the cake with his latest on-air antics.

Known for his quick wit and sometimes risqué sense of humour, Karl Stefanovic left his all-female co-hosts exchanging awkward glances during a recent morning program.

The incident unfolded when co-host Sarah Abo reminded him of a promise he made live on air last Thursday.

Before Abo finished her sentence, Stefanovic interjected with a mischievous misunderstanding that took the conversation in an unexpected turn.

'The what? Find the what?' Stevanovic asked, which prompted Sarah to clarify with emphasis, 'The clip, with a P.'

Stefanovic, who seized the opportunity for comedic relief, laughed it off and pretended to be oblivious to the innuendo he said.

The banter continued as his other co-hosts, Jayne Azzopardi and Danika Mason, reacted with shock and amusement.

Stefanovic, clearly enjoying the moment, jokingly admitted defeat.

'I haven't found that one! That's not a surprise!' he exclaimed as Jayne responded with a resounding 'No.'

Attempting to steer the conversation back on track, Sarah Abo reminded Stefanovic of his actual promise to wear a particular piece of clothing.

Stefanovic's response? 'Deflecting? That's like a 180 in a cul-de-sac,' he stated, blending his humour with a hint of controversy.

Karl Stefanovic was no novice when it came to stirring the pot on television.

Earlier this year, he had viewers raising their eyebrows after discussing how to keep home air conditioner costs down.

He cheekily revealed his self-appointed nickname in the bedroom.

'I have it 18 in the bedroom, because daddy gets hot,' Stefanovic remarked.

The comment led to an awkward exchange.

'Don't encourage him with the daddy talk; we need to rule it out for 2025. No more daddy talk,' Sarah pleaded on air.

Despite the playful banter and occasional cringe-worthy moments, Karl Stefanovic's charm and humour on-screen could be a reason why viewers keep tuning in.

His ability to push the envelope while maintaining a sense of camaraderie with his co-hosts demonstrated a delicate balance that he could manage more often than not.

Breakfast television can be a delightful mix of news, entertainment, and the unexpected.

It's a reminder that even as Aussies enjoy their morning cuppa with the news, they can still appreciate a good laugh.

Wish they'd get rid of that idiot. Can't stand a bar of him. Thinks he can sing, dance. is funny and is nothing but an arrogant ignoramous. I often turn the tv to another channel because I can't stand another minute of him.
And I can't stand a BAR of Natalie BARR.

Smug bitch who needs to be brought down a rung or ten.

Thank God I have cable tv and don't have to watch the banality of commercial tv in Australia. Have never watched any of these shows but have seen clips and am aghast at just how ridiculous and basic they are. SBS is the channel of choice for me when I watch regular tv.

It's simple, just don't watch them. Turn the TV off, then you have nothing to complain about. No ratings, no shows. If the stations stop making money from their ads, they will eventually see the public's reaction to these losers' and their true worth will come out.

All these complainants must watch or listen to it to form an opinion. They can't have heard about a channel changer or an on/off switch. Thank God they were not around in the nights of Grham Kennedy and Bert Newton.

I haven’t watched daytime TV for years, unless the crickets on. My husband & brother enjoy a bit of AFL so I usually read or do word puzzles. We watch very little free to air telly, so I’ve never seen most of the shows mentioned, only whatever ads come on during our local news, that’s more than enough to put one off them forever.
