Viral chocolates hit Aussie shelves, and the reviews are in

It’s time to say hello to one of the most anticipated chocolates of this year. This week, popular internet celebrity Mr Beast’s range of chocolates, Feastables, hit Woolworths shelves in Australia.

It’s no surprise the news caused a great deal of excitement amongst Mr Beast’s millions of fans, Now, after the first few taste tests, some reviews have started to roll in.


James Stephen Donaldson—also known as Mr Beast—is a popular YouTube personality with millions of followers. He is reportedly the most-viewed and highest-paid content creator who produces videos centred on large-scale stunts and challenges.

Most notably, his creations involve outrageous amounts of money. Once, he recreated the popular show Squid Game, where the winner could take home hundreds and thousands of dollars, tipped hundreds of dollars to pizza delivery drivers. At one point, he even paid for the eye surgery of 1,000 people.

Recently, Mr Beast ventured into the food industry. He launched his own fast-food chain called Mr Beast Burger and a range of chocolates called Feastables.

It wasn’t a surprise when Aussie fans expressed their excitement about the news of Feastables chocolates hitting local shelves. Food bloggers have been sharing their thoughts on it on social media.


But is this range a hit or miss?

One person with the username @angeeats tried the Feastables Original Choco and the Feastables Milk Chocolate bars.

'The bar is wafer thin. It smells like dark chocolate, so I don’t know where the milk chocolate comes from,' he said.

After taking a bite, he simply said 'nope' and added he was having trouble swallowing it.

Commenters on the video also agreed with his assessment, with one person writing, ‘I don’t see these lasting on the aisles for too long.’

‘It’s not that bad,’ some remarked, while another said, ‘I hate dark chocolate but liked these chocolates.’


On the other hand, food reviewer @russ.eats mentioned that the Feastables Original Choco tastes similar to a Lindt bar.

'The Lindt is obviously better, but this isn’t bad,' he said. However, Russ said the Deez Nuts flavour had a 'suspicious aftertaste'.

Other fans said they liked the chocolate but felt it was quite expensive, 'I loved the chocolate, the only problem was the price.'

‘Nah, you’re just over reacting it’s actually pretty good,’ someone shared.

‘I actually thought the milk chocolate was pretty decent, felt more real than I expected,’ another commented.


The highly anticipated chocolate is now available at Woolworths, with shoppers able to snap up a 35-gram bar for $2.50 and a 60-gram block for $4.

A Woolworths spokesperson said, ‘We’re excited to be the first Australian supermarket to offer Feastables bars. We’re always looking at the latest trends to keep up with our customers' tastes, and we’ve actually already had many customers ask us about Feastables, so we’re hoping these will be a hit.’

Feastables CEO, Reed Duchscher, was also excited about the launch in the Australian market.

‘Our teams worked tirelessly to be able to reach the Australian market in such a short time, and we are all very excited to finally get to see Feastables in the hands of fans across the country,’ he stated.
