Vegemite just changed the game with this delicious new twist to your favourite treat!

Australia is a country that is known for its vibrant culture, beautiful landscapes, and unique cuisine. One of the most iconic food items in Australia is, of course, Vegemite.

This savoury spread made from yeast extract has been a staple in Australian households for over 95 years. It is so popular that it has become synonymous with Australian culture and is often used as a symbol of national identity.

While Vegemite is commonly spread on toast, Australians have found many other creative ways to enjoy this beloved condiment. (Do Vegemite and cheese hot cross buns and Vegemite roast chicken ring a bell, anyone?)

But did you know that you can now enjoy this iconic Aussie spread even more with its newest collaboration?

You read that right, folks! Vegemite has recently teamed up with Green’s to release a new baking product – a Vegemite Choc Chunk Brownie Mix.

TikTok user Emily, better known as @snackreviews_aus, shared a sneak peek at the Vegemite-flavoured brownie mix packet after being sent samples for review.

'Vegemite brownies are REAL! Would you dare to try?' the food reviewer wrote in a post.

'This is a collaboration between Green’s and Vegemite.'

The $6 pack contains 800 grams of baking mix ready to be made into delightful brownies.

Emily recalled how many people believed that it was fake when she first shared it on social media.

She continued: ‘All you have to do is combine the mixture, which has a subtle Vegemite smell, with butter and eggs.’

‘Give it a really good mix and then bake it in the oven.’

And voila! You have yourself a scoop of salty-sweet goodness.

Emily also reviewed the taste, describing it as having a ‘faint’ Vegemite flavour.

'To the point where many wouldn’t know it was there.' she clarified.

She also shared that the actual brownie was 'fudgy and chewy', which she liked.

The reaction to the new treat was mixed, as some users expressed excitement over the ‘sneak peek’ and eagerly shared their anticipation to try it, while others exhibited hesitation.

One user wrote: 'They’re doing way too much now. Should have stopped at the chicken.’

‘That actually sounds so good,’ another argued.

A third said: ‘I just know I would like this. I liked the Vegemite baked beans, so bring it on.’
Green's and Vegemite are both pleased with their new sweet and salty product.

Green’s Head of Marketing and Innovation, Peta Allsopp said: ‘We are incredibly excited to be partnering with everyone’s favourite spread Vegemite to launch Green’s Vegemite Choc Chunk Brownie.’

‘Our baking team has expertly blended the taste of Vegemite with delicious rich chocolate to deliver a mouth-watering salted caramel flavoured brownie that will satisfy big and little Vegemites.’

Vegemite Marketing Manager Jess Hoare also commented: ‘Vegemite truly is the taste of Australia, wonderful in savoury recipes and delightful in brownies.’

‘We’re super excited to be partnering with Green’s to bring the Vegemite Choc Chunk Brownie to Australia.’

‘Whether you’re a longstanding fan of Vegemite or have a passion for trialling the unexpectedly wonderful, we hope you love this product.’

I have been making my own Vegemite Brownie's now for a few years, they are a big hit with in my family, also I'll bet they taste much better than a box mix.
