Allegro took control of the franchise in Australia in 2016, where it conducted a massive restructuring before offering the business up for sale.

Excited about its ‘entrée’ into the Australian market, Flynn Restaurant Group Co-Chief Operating Officer Ron Bellamy has praised Pizza Hut Australia's incredible track record, which includes an impressive 51 consecutive months of positive same-store sales growth.
With the acquisition of the master franchisee licence for all 260 Pizza Hut restaurants in Australia, Flynn Restaurant Group will work closely with the local Pizza Hut teams to ensure the continued success of the nostalgic pizza chain.
The company’s vast experience and sizable influence are set to play a major role in bolstering the growth and development of Pizza Hut in Australia.
‘Simply put, the more we've learned about this business, the more excited we've become about it,’ Ron Bellamy exclaimed.
‘Our immediate focus will be to work with the team to determine how we can best leverage our broader scale and capabilities to support the continued success trajectory of Pizza Hut in Australia.’
With an already vast portfolio of over 2,350 restaurants in the US, including 926 Pizza Huts, 441 Applebee's, 379 Arby's, and 282 Taco Bells, Flynn Restaurant Group knows a thing or two about running a successful restaurant chain.
Local Pizza Hut franchisees are set to benefit significantly from this new partnership, as Flynn aims to offer extensive support and resources to enhance the Pizza Hut experience for customers Down Under.

Plus, it was one of the first outlets to deliver pizzas to customers' homes in 1985.
While the acquisition of Pizza Hut Australia has received Foreign Investment Review Board approval, it is still subject to consent by Pizza Hut’s global brand owner.
The acquisition is set to be completed by the end of June 2023.
