Update: My nan's birthday celebration!
Hi, lovely members! I wanted to give you all an update of my nan's birthday celebration, as I believe it wouldn't have been successful without your fantastic suggestions! When I previously asked what gift would make your birthday memorable last week, the following members shared these answers:
1. 'Having my family & friends around.' - member @Carol
2. 'Handmade by you, anything. My husband painted a card and then painted a picture for me.' - member @Coll11
3. 'Anything that is handmade by you because it shows that a lot of love and thought has gone into it!' - member @Donda
4. 'By now your Nan would have all the nic naks she needs…. Spend some quality time with her, ask about her earlier life, these will be great memories for you both….time is precious!!!' - member @Donda
5. 'Have a photo taken of you and your Gran professionally or on the phone and have it blown up professionally. I am sure that this be a very prized possession.' - member @gamiry
So, I invited all of her old friends and our distant relatives, whipped up handmade decorations for the party, and even gave her an adorable crown and sash to dress her up. She was able to reunite with her loved ones, and we made sure to take plenty of photos to make a photo album she could take with her back to the US. I’m happy to say that she had an absolute blast, and even wanted me to thank ALL of you for helping make her day special!
