I hada wonderful 40 minute trip on a train one day when a woman got on with a young lad about 12 years old who was screaming "I don't want to be on this f***ing train, let me off this f"""ing train at the same time kicking the doors, bashing the windows.
Mum didn't say a thing!!!
Another passenger eventually told him to calm down, to which he replied "I'm going to get my dad to kick your "f***ing "head in".
Still Mum did or said nothing.
This went on for over 30 minutes.
I so wanted to shove him off the train at the first station and say ' there, now you're off the f*""ing train.
Maybe he had some underlying condition or maybe he was just a brat, but I do think Mum should have removed him from train, until he calmed down.
Found out later we should have rung (number is shown on display on all trains) and they would have been removed at the next station.

When I first started work in London I had to travel from the country to the edge of the city on the steam train and then into the centre of the city on the tube. Like all poms who are great at queuing, the tube users were by & large considerate in their dealings with other tube users. No loud music or inappropriate actions but also no space to do so. I travelled for several years & don't have any complaints about people I shared my journeys with. Mind you it is certainly different in today's world with no one giving any respect to others especially older Australians like myself. Luckily I never go on trains or busses as I have limited movement. Mind you on Thursday I am fulfilling a forever dream of jumping out of a plane. Hopefully, this will kick start my finding myself again!

As a disabled person who uses public transport daily I would like to point out that on my regular bus route the young people (students particularly) are always the most polite, helpful and respectful. My continuing trouble is with elderly travellers who sit in the only two wheelchair spaces on the bus and won't give them up for someone in a wheelchair. They all use their age as an excuse for being totally inconsiderate. Thank God for the normally abused teenagers.

unfortunately, it is true about loud-speaking Chinese. I'm Chinese but I'm from Singapore. We have migrants of Chinese from China, and they have a cultural habit to speak loudly in public as if they are in their own homes.
There are cultural differences among Chinese from different countries and different upbringings, but Chinese from China generally have this speak-loudly habit.

As a disabled person who uses public transport daily I would like to point out that on my regular bus route the young people (students particularly) are always the most polite, helpful and respectful. My continuing trouble is with elderly travellers who sit in the only two wheelchair spaces on the bus and won't give them up for someone in a wheelchair. They all use their age as an excuse for being totally inconsiderate. Thank God for the normally abused teenagers.
