Traditional British Sausage Roll

Sausage rolls are a traditional British dish that is very easy to make. They consist of sausages that are rolled up in pastry dough and then baked. Sausage rolls are one of the easiest and most delicious snacks you can make at home. With just three ingredients - sausage, pastry and egg - you can have a tasty treat ready in no time.



Ingredients:

-1 pack of pre-made puff pastry dough

- 250g Sausage meat - pre-seasoned

-Egg wash

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

2. Unwrap the puff pastry dough on a lightly floured surface.

3. Cut the dough into 12 equal pieces.

4. Place a sausage on each piece of dough and roll it up, sealing the edges with a bit of the egg wash.

5. Place the sausage rolls on a baking paper and brush the tops with the remaining egg wash.

6. Bake for 25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and the sausage is cooked through.

7. Enjoy!

And voila! You now have a crispy, flaky pastry filled with juicy sausage! There are many ways to make sausage rolls extra special. One way is to add some cheese to the dough before rolling it up with the sausage. Another way is to top the sausage rolls with mustard or ketchup before baking.

Well that has to be the most fiddly way of making them, just cut each sheet of pastry into 3 strips then had meat and roll and cut each into 4 equal pieces, vola 1 dozen sausage rolls.
