Weeties was one l remember with 'Neddy the horse' which we assembled, tied a plastic medallion to (supplied) with a length of cotton, dangled the medallion over the edge of the table & Neddy would walk towards the table edge.

I think the real reason I liked Weeties was for the toys. As mentioned, the Neddy's, they also had race cars you put together plus heaps of other stuff. As soon as the grocer delivered a new box, I'd ope it and search out the toy :)

Mum used to get annoyed as I would open the bottom of the box as the toy usually was at the base

Do they still do this? I miss looking forward to eating breakfast just to get the toy!
I haven't seen this type of thing for years & l wonder if this comes under the heading of safety & small parts that young children may swallow.

Yeah haven't seen it in ages... I think you may be on to something @Ezzy

I guess people are also a lot more mindful of plastic waste these days.

I was a bit spoiled as my sister and brother had weetbix and all they got was crummy cards :) But they went through a packet much faster than I could a box of weeties :)
