TikTok user finds an “un-egg-spected” discovery inside cooked chicken

There are plenty of amazing food videos that are posted daily on the popular video-sharing platform TikTok.
These food videos can range from new restaurant finds, to snack reviews, to grocery hauls, to unique food recipes that are delicious, fun, and guaranteed to make people stop and watch.
However, there are also some food videos out there on TikTok that can be pretty… shocking, to say the least.
Like this one video for example.

Sharing the clip on TikTok, one user posted about a plate of roast chicken her father made for dinner. However, there was one conspicuous detail that she pointed out, which shocked her, her family, and the viewers as well.
The TikTok user who goes by the username @landonlailala claims that after her dad cooked a whole roast chicken in the oven, they found an unhatched egg while cutting it up.
An egg-shaped object sitting inside of the bird’s cavity can be seen in the video clip, as the user repeatedly checks it out using a fork. The egg was apparently cooked inside the chicken while it was being roasted in the oven.
The caption on the user’s now-viral video reads: “My dad cooked a chicken and found an egg still in its bottom.” It has attracted over 1.7 million views just a week after posting, with hundreds of viewers commenting and expressing their surprise and disgust.
“That's enough TikTok for me today…” wrote one user. Another added: “Nope nope nope.”
Meanwhile, some users who claimed to be vegetarians said this is the reason why they don’t eat meat.
One woman wrote: “Never been happier to be a vegan.”
A second one followed with: “Chicken was already sketchy for me. Now it's been ruined for the rest of my life. For real.”
And while it is pretty rare to find unhatched eggs still inside store-bought chickens, it is not entirely impossible.
One man wrote in the comments that he particularly loves eating the egg left inside a cooked chicken. “My mom gets these every once in a while from our city market,” he added. A woman replied and said: “Same!”
To avoid these kinds of “incidents” with your store-bought chicken, it is important that you clean them properly before chucking them in the oven. Sometimes, a chicken is not properly gutted before being sold to a supermarket…
