This video of a quokka will make your day!

Have you ever seen a quokka? They aren’t the typical animals you’d see in children’s books. But they’re so cute that a video of one went viral on the internet! This adorable quokka was caught on tape, wholly enthralled by an Australian juggler.

The small native mammal, sometimes known as a short-tailed scrub wallaby, can be seen in the video hopping closer to the juggler and closely observing the stones he was juggling.

Just before the man bowed to his audience, the marsupial reached out with a paw to grab the stones that were flying through the air.

On Saturday, the video was posted to Reddit, where it received hundreds of comments, with many people fascinated by the adorable Australian animal.

‘I love the hand gesture the quokka is making as if it could actually grab what the guy is juggling’, one Redditor said.

‘This looks like the most helpless creature in one of the most dangerous countries in the world.’ said another.

Quokkas can only be found in a tiny area of southern Western Australia, primarily on Rottnest Island. However, lesser populations can be found on the mainland and Bald Island.

Because the islands lack natural predators such as foxes or cats, they are not afraid of humans, making them a popular tourist attraction.

But if you ever decide to go out and see one, DO NOT TOUCH THEM! A hefty fine applies if you are caught mingling with a quokka, with overseas visitors risking deportation if authorities find them harming the animals.

Quokkas gained popularity in the 2010s after appearing in countless viral selfies.

Celebrities like Chris Hemsworth and Margot Robbie posed with the creatures, resulting in an increase in tourism in the area.

Quokkas are amazing animals. If you visit Rottnest when the figs drop from the trees you will likely see some drunk! They just love the rotting/fermenting fruit. The rangers have to go around and sweep up as many as they can or the whole population gets paralytic! Also they are incredible thieves, for instant you don't leave cigarettes or half consumed beer on the outside table at night or chances are it will be gone by morning!! We used to holiday on Rottnest almost every year and had the best times there.
