I make my own chicken stock by using chicken bones.

At $2 for a large bag , you can't go by that.

I've been doing this for many years , I learnt it from hubby's aunt.
In Greece they use nearly everything from an animal for food. They have been doing this for centuries . Being mainly islands at times they couldn't get to the mainland for supplies and had to become self sufficient

They could teach us all many lessons, wonderful people.

Unbelievable the food I make, shown to me by his aunt.

I make a Greek Egg n Lemon soup ,basically a pot of chicken stock, made by bringing water and chicken bones to a boil , then simmer for a couple of hours .
Sometimes I leave the bones in the pot overnight after it's cooked.

I then add 3/4 of uncooked rice , cook until soft.
In a bowl I beat 2 eggs plus 1 egg yolk. I add juice of two lemons and beat. Then I get a scoop of the hot stock and add to the egg n lemon and whisk, then add another scoop if stock and whisk then add back to the pot, add salt n pepper and serve

Everyone loves this soup and cost under $5 a pot

yes this one is good but you can also make your own. I do bone broth quite regularly. The butcher and some supermarkets have the bones quite cheap. If the animals are well looked after and are raised via regenerative farming especially the nutrition is there. Bit of apple cider vinegar in there to get the minerals out of the bones and you have a good bonus. Cook for 12, 24 or 48 hours in a slow cooker

$40 for a little jar that's half of my weeks grocery bill
There are others that are not as expensive but buy bones from the butcher and add cider vinegar, just a tablespoon. Cook in a slow cooker (they are cheap to buy) for 12, 24, or even 48 hours. Start on high till the liquid starts to bubble then turn to low. A cup a day is great. Add lots of salt (not a health issue in spite of what they say)

REALLY??? Were are they getting the Bird Flu free, chickens from.
Bird flu is a scam. No such thing as a virus. All about upping the price of eggs and chicken meat and food in general. Singapore has just approved 16 insects to be put up as a food source. Watch this space, push to eat insects is coming. They want to cut out meat from our diet. Sad really

No, smallpox was never caused by virus. That is the oldest scam, ever, put about by some stone age hominid to get control of his tribe. No; smallpox is merely caused by a miasma floating in off the North Sea or somewhere, cured by sniffing garlic carried in a small bag under one's nose. Oh, wait a bit, wasn't the smallpox scam put about by the sellers of small bags of garlic to put under one's nose?

Deep fried grasshoppers, with a bit of chilli pepper and salt, are quite tasty. Simple street food in Thailand; or a leg of roast dog, as in Vietnam.

Beware salt; it is full of microchips dumped in salt-pans and the oceans by scurrilous people who are out to control your mind!

Some hae Meat, an' cannae eat,
An' some ha' nane, an' wants it,
But we hae Meat, an' we can eat,
Sae let the Laird be thankit.

Robbie Burns' Grace, remembered from childhood.
As for roast leg of dog, it beats Vietnamese boiled chicken (hen), boiled cabbage and cold rice. Being a boiled hen is a bit hard on the hen.

It’s getting toward dinner time, but I’ve lost my appetite. 😆
