This Bunnings buy might be the secret to a stunning shower transformation

We know that keeping our homes clean and well-maintained is important, not only for aesthetics but also for our overall health.

However, some might need help to keep up with some of the more intensive cleaning tasks, like scrubbing shower screens.

Thankfully, there are some fantastic cleaning products available that can make our lives a bit easier – one savvy shopper revealed a genius method for getting your shower sparkling clean in no time.

An Aussie mum discovered an amazing Bunnings product that made her shower glass look brand new, and her fellow online shoppers couldn't believe the transformation!

The mum shared her impressive before and after photos on the Mums Who Clean Facebook page, where members of the community exchange handy tips and tricks to keep their homes sparkling.

Her first photo showed a shower screen lined with grime and watermarks, which many might relate to. But the second photo displayed a completely spotless screen, with not a single watermark in sight.

So, what's the secret behind this remarkable transformation?

The mum revealed it was the Simple Green Shower Glass Restorer, a product available at Bunnings stores for only $15.49.

This ‘natural abrasive paste’ is designed to ‘rub off the hard water build-up on your shower glass surfaces’, according to the Bunnings website.

They explain that ‘hard water deposits’ or ‘calcium’ grow quickly and, unless kept in check, soon build to an impenetrable layer that only an abrasive will remove.

Improper cleaning and maintenance of the shower can also contribute to grime and watermarks, making it difficult to restore the area to its original sparkle.

But upon seeing the mum's post, many social media users were left in awe.

‘Wow, that’s amazing. Adding to my Bunnings list,’ one commented.

Others added their praises, with comments like, 'Wow, that’s impressive', and 'Love this stuff'.

This isn’t the first time this ‘miracle buy’ made waves online. Early last year, another woman shared a half-cleaned photo of her shower screen online and said that she would be testing Bunnings’ Simple Green Shower Glass Restorer.

She also shared the results of her experiment in one of the photos she uploaded.

Her caption read: ‘Do yourself a favour and get to Bunnings for a bottle of this!’

‘Seriously, it does not look like I have glass there now that the whole shower screen is done,’ she added.

Her post gained attention from the group and fellow fans of the Bunnings cleaner were quick to add their insights.

‘The best thing! I got this too, and it works amazing!’ One person wrote in the comments section.

One mum even shared that she couldn’t believe the cleaning product made her 18-year-old shower screen look ‘brand new’ again!

Shower glass transformations aside, this cleaning revelation comes shortly after another brilliant cleaning tip shared on the same Facebook page.

An Aussie mum shared the results of her daughter's Year 10 science project, which sought to determine the most effective stain remover available at Coles and Woolworths.

‘My daughter did a stain removal experiment for her science assessment. Thought I’d share the results with you,’ the mum wrote in the post.

‘She was testing which stain remover is most efficient. Used tomato sauce for the stain. Waited until the sauce was mostly dry.’

The student compared Clean Ultimate, Vanish Oxi Action, and Sard Power against the stubborn stain on a white piece of fabric.

‘Sprayed each stain remover brand on three of the stained fabrics and let it soak for five minutes. Rinsed with water two minutes afterwards,’ the mum continued.
