This beloved KFC item is back - but not for long! Get it while you still can!

We all know how fast food restaurants like to reel us in with their tantalising limited-time menu items. And more often than not, these delicious meals are just too good to resist (much to the dismay of health-conscious Aussies).

In fact, we get so attached to them that we can't help but beg for their return after they're taken off the menu.

Well, lucky for KFC fans, one of our favourite limited time items is back... and this time, it's here to stay — at least in some states!

That's right – KFC's Hot and Crispy Boneless chicken is currently back on the menu starting November 1 across Australia. Residents of New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia will now get to have this hot and spicy treat moving forward!

Unfortunately for those living in Queensland, Western Australia or Northern Territory who already have a spicy option for their chicken, this boneless variant will only be available until November 28th. So if you want to try it out you'll have to act fast!

The popular item first made its debut back in 2021 and caused quite a stir among KFC lovers everywhere.

YouTube foodie Greg’s Kitchen described the taste then as ‘infused with a nice, hot, chilli flavour’ that ‘really warms you up’.

Back in 2021, another reviewer named Food Sack said the menu item ‘can’t be improved’ as KFC ‘(did) it so well’. (We have our Zingers — er, fingers crossed they left the recipe untouched!)

So it's no surprise that the chain has decided to bring it back – albeit only temporarily – for all your spicy chicken needs!

Meanwhile, Sally Spriggs, Chief Marketing Officer of KFC Australia, said they’re glad they’re bringing back the well-loved item to their stores nationwide.

She said: ‘Aussies went crazy for it when we introduced it for a limited-time in 2021. We knew we had to bring it back, and this time it will be a permanent menu item in some states.’

‘So you can head down to your local restaurant and treat yourself to some Hot and Crispy Boneless any time of the year!’

Key Takeaways

  • Foodies have praised KFC's comebacking offer for its delicious flavour.
  • The dish will be available as a three-piece snack, as well as a new Zinger Box, which includes a Zinger burger, two-pieces of Hot and Crispy Boneless, potato and gravy, chips and a drink.
The fast food chain is also no stranger to bringing foodie favourites back, with ‘The Slab’ — popcorn chicken piled on dinner rolls and slathered with delicious barbeque sauce — making a limited-time return last October.

According to news.com.au, KFC’s Hot and Crispy Boneless Chicken can be ordered as a snack (with three pieces) or included in a Zinger Box.

We do hope, for everyone’s sake, that they’ve sorted out the recent viral incident of staff improperly handling food.

On my way to the Library this morning to use the computer, I looked in my Woolies to see if they have the Tegel brand of chicken referred to in the SDC newsletter about a month ago. Ever since then, I've been waiting for it to arrive.
The tags have now been removed, so looks as though I'm not going to try it.
The body probably doesn't need it!
