It’s obviously “chariot” you need to look for. “Charlot” isn’t even a word. The words all refer in some way to Italy. Either there’s a misprint in the word in the list of the i looks like an “l”.

If you look closely at all the words listed that have the letter i you will see that the word is actually ‘chariot’ and not ‘charlot’ as you think.

I too enjoy these types of puzzles & learnt years ago to look for unusual letters in the word first together with scanning left to right etc as described. Certainly saves time in the long run.
